We had made to order breakfast sandwiches, very tasty. Quiet place just off the main road by the ocean.

We came across this cute café on our way out from the cruise ship. There was a musician with great music and voice, the food was delicious and it was a great spot to just sit and relax. They have indoor seating with games and outdoor seating as well.

Vegetarian options: My husband and I had an egg and cheese wrap and a cheese pizza.

Sandwiches were really good. I had the beef with bacon jam which was a bit sweet, but when you added the horseradish was absolutely perfect. Coleslaw tasted great, but was small. Parking was the only downside and that wasn't their fault. Public parking was $15/ hr.

Nice people and a great location but truly awful food. I had the breakfast melt, it was incredibly salty and oily. Pre-cooked bacon, fake egg. Frankly inedible. My wife had the breakfast wrap which was again ruined by the fake egg.
I hate giving negative reviews but I’d hate for someone else to waste their time and money eating this ghastly food.

Aloha, this is a great cafe. I live and work in the Kona area and have my choice of great cafes, this is where I go every morning for my coffee. They use 100% Kona coffee and I usually drink espresso shots or cappuccino. The bold rich flavor of the Kona coffee preserved by their excellent baristas. This is one of only two places I will get coffee here in Kona (I'm VERY picky)
When I eat here the food is great. I enjoy the power up wrap for breakfast or if I'm in later I'll order the Uncles Turkey Melt. Their clam chowder is also good, and the cucumber salad is a must.
Their relax and refresh smoothie is great too. Very refreshing on hot Kona days.
Inside the cafe is painted by local artists and outside by the local high school. Sometimes they have a guy out front playing live music which all creates a cool local atmosphere.

From a local, HIGHLY RECOMMEND

What wonderful restaurant for our community! Not only is the food great but you are welcome and served with Aloha.
They also support giving to a program that works with at risk keiki here in West Hawaii.

This is a MUST visit cafe in Kona!! The decor is unique, and the atmosphere is peaceful. The banana pudding, chocolate cookie, and the breakfast pizzas are amazing! My personal favorite smoothie is the Beach Berry one.

Not to mention the location is right by the pier, and near all of the local shops. The staff and owners are very friendly and welcoming!

Hungry Honus is a hidden treasure that doesn’t disappoint. It’s a unique spot for Kona with ample seating for large groups or families, a great menu, and friendly service. The owners make you feel like family and have made the cafe a place to feel at home; there are board games and cards available, a variety of seating areas (tables and chairs as well as a seating area that includes a sofa and comfy chairs). The chicken salad, smoothies, sandwiches and pizza are delicious!

Kid-friendliness: There are games for kids, spacious dining area to move about, and kid friendly menu items.

Cute place with great food! Quick and friendly service. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for a good smoothie, coffee, or quick meal! The live music on Wednesdays is a big plus too.

Fast and friendly service. The food came out quickly and was good. The Colada smoothie was delicious. Plenty of places to sit in the restaurant. It’s a good place to try if you’re in the area and want a quick bite. Close to Ali’i drive and many touristy shops.

Parking: Parking is East of the restaurant, about 50 yards up the hill from the entrance.
