Based on six customer reviews, Koholā Coffee is a coffee truck in Kona that serves amazing coffee, smoothies, and food. It is described as a true gem in the community, packing a punch for being a mobile kiosk. The best latte ever had in Kona was found here, with a chocolate covered coffee bean on top and a well-prepared, mild, and balanced espresso. The Local Kine smoothie was out of this world delicious, and the chocolate macadamia nut cookie was also delicious. Other menu highlights include the special matcha drink, “Mermaid’s Garden” with ube whip cream, a spicy turmeric wellness shot, and a perfectly toasted ham and cheese croissant. The shop uses fresh local ingredients and offers lots of food options including some locally baked bagels. The baristas are very friendly, hospitable, and warm, even early in the morning. The owner was incredibly accommodating. The convenience of the drive-through makes it easy to swing by. The only reason for a 4-star instead of 5-star for food was cold eggs in one breakfast sandwich. Overall, it is a very nice spot and the best coffee shop in Kona.
