We had a wonderful birthday dinner at the Kona Inn. They sat us at a table close to the water and our server, Russell, immediately came to our table to introduce himself and take our beverage order. Since we are regular customers at their other location, The Wind and Sea in Dana Point, we are very familiar with their AMAZING Mai Tais, so I ordered a Mai Tai and was happy to learn that it was still Happy Hour, so I just had to order another one to enjoy when my dinner arrived....
Excellent service from hostess who sat us early and as requested - great view of the sunset! Our server was attentive and friendly - James (Jimmy?) was a delight to talk to and recommended wonderful menu items. This historic landmark location on the water is a must visit! We came right from the airport before we checked into our hotel - excellent start to our stay!
We have visited Kona at least one each year for 18 years and Kona Inn is always on our itinerary once or twice each year. Excellent food, beautiful sunset, great service and the most affordable menu in Hawaii!!
