Meh, overpriced and had to ask for additional syrup. I took one spoonful off the topside and hit unflavored shaved ice. The ice is shaved right and the flavors are okay but disappointed that they were out of stock on about 50% of the flavors. There are better options in Kona.

My wife and I first had Ululani's at one of their locations in Maui and it was fantastic! The shave ice was fine and melted in your mouth, the syrup flavors tasted so flavorful and intense, and it was just incredible. Sadly, this Ululani's was nothing like that. The shave ice was not fine--there was chunks of ice in there that hardened and was icy. The same flavors I had before (e.g. lychee) lacked intensity and flavor and it tasted extremely watery. Unfortunately we won't be going back to this location.

Delicious shave ice, but more than half of the flavors were out of stock.

Nice retreat from the beach for shaved ice. They have a big variety and they say their flavors are natural made with cane sugar. It was pretty quiet when we went there there so in and out. The tables have cute holes for I’m assuming the bowls. Unfortunately the medium size didn’t fit or it would have been perfect!

So good! I’m from New Jersey so i love water ice & Italian ice. This was like a good water ice - obsessed with sour and got the sour tart and did not disappoint for a nice tart iceKids size is plenty (shared with my toddler)

Awesome shaved ice experience but go early as they run out of the best flavors!

The Hawaiian shaved ice was delicious but the staff was not very friendly or attentive. They barely spoke to me. The seating wasn’t the most comfortable. It’s kind of a strange location in the back of the resort at the end of Ali’i drive. The Hawaiian shaved ice is worth all of the rest

This was our first time trying Ululani on the Big Island this past Feb on our vacation. We remember this place from Maui, and I really wanted to make it on our recent trip. Ululani's was that memorable. So we finally made it, and I didn't expect it to be inside a mini-mall attached to the Marriott. The parking was tricky (or almost non-existent). So my husband just waited at the curb at the hotel, and thank God no one seemed to have cared (mahalo!). When we went in the afternoon an hour before they closed (closes earlier than other shave ice places), there was only 1 person ahead of us and one worker. I ordered the Rising Sun with macnut ice cream and snow cap. Let's just be honest. When you offer shave ice this fine and use homemade syrups using real fruit, you will always win the competition. My Rising Sun was sooooo good. No compromises in their ingredients, and I can taste the difference between this place and other places in Kona. If you can make the hours, I'd highly recommend this place for shave ice even if it is only once on your trips. Well worth trying!

The best Hawaiian Shaved ice around. We went everyday!!! lol. There were plenty of flavors to select from and the service was fine, not great but def not bad just not much personality. Our daughter loved the rainbow versions. My hubby loved the Roselani's local ice cream made in Maui. My favorite was coconut lovers shaved ice. This is a great dairy free option you can walk around with and enjoy on the go or pool side.

This was my favorite shave ice during my trip! They have several locations throughout the islands. I love their ube flavor but they have so many to choose from. I would recommend a scoop of ice cream in the bottom (I liked macadamia nut but they have options) and a snow cap on top.

Very good shaved ice, but some of the sirups tasted artificial. It misses real fruit taste unfortunately… We took medium one- Local Motion flavor. It was good but there was something missing in the taste. Second one was Coconut Lovers. Coconut taste wasn’t overpowering. It was really refreshing and fruity. The third one was No Ka Oi- passion fruit in that one was the best taste! I’m glad four of us took only three portions because they were huge and we were all full! This place is located in Downtown Kona, and at noon there was not a lot of people. We could easily sit down and enjoy refreshing ice.

Super happy we stopped! (First off, don't freak out about having to pay for parking at the hotel. The restaurants and the Ululani's will validate your ticket, just bring it with you, and parking will be comped.) Excellent ice. Soft, fluffy flakes, lots of flavors and add-ons and toppings. The shave matters and those blades are sharp which makes for a creamy texture. The four of us tried different variations and they were all good. There was one person working and she was handling everything like a champ. Be kind and tip generously!

This was one of several shave ice places I tried while on the big island. The ice was smooth and fine (no chunks at all)! I got vanilla ice cream in the bottom and the rainbow flavors (strawberry, pineapple, and blue raspberry) with a snow cap!The place was empty when I went which was nice, we were in and out and able to enjoy our shave ice outside on the beach!Parking: There is a small parking lot and it’s paid. I’d recommend walking to this place after parking a ways away on the street!

We discovered Ululani's while on Maui and were delighted to find it on the Big Island. Unfortunately they close early, so try to get there before 3pm. But hands-down the softest, fluffiest shaved ice we've had anywhere, ever. There was always a line when we went, but so worth it! My favorite is the Keiki Rainbow with vanilla ice cream in the middle and snow cap (sweetened condensed milk) on top. Reminds me of my childhood and the colors are so pretty!
