Showed up at 10:50 and started calling so I could place my order first thing as soon as they opened but nobody answered the phone. Ended up sitting outside waiting for lady to open doors. She finally did at 11:10. When I asked if I could place an order she said there was a 3 hour wait and she had just opened. I come to kona for work and drive hours to get there. So I had to go work then come grab my food after I got off. Definitely don't expect to eat here for lunch. There is always multiple hours of waiting even if they just opened. And the rolls are decent but not worth the wait in my opinion and her attitude sucked too. I don't understand how they can just open and have a 3+ hour wait. I miss the good old days when you could just order and pick up shortly after. It's been so many years since they were at that level of performance and customer service. I still tipped the bill out of kindness and the fond memories I have here from over 10 years ago but I'm not sure I'll be going back since they make people wait hours and hours just to get food. I even called here once right at open another time and was told there was a 5 hour wait. They close 6 hours after opening and sometimes randomly close sooner then that. You really have to decide if it's even worth it to be completely honest. Decent food, decent price, extreme wait time and rude staff now and days. No smiles, no kindness, no aloha! What's even the point? Rolls are huge btw but not tightly rolled and will fall apart. Sometimes the rice is dry. That's all I got from my past experiences. Mahalo!Parking: Paid parking so you'll pay to wait as well

It was open, nobody was eating, and for some reason there was a 3 hour wait. As we were standing there someone came out and changed the sign to a 6 hour wait, didn’t say anything. They close in less than 6 hours.

The best sushi I've ever had. And I'm very picky. But, if you actually get through on the phone it's really a could HR wait. But, WORTH IT!

Best sushi!!! they give you such a generous amount, I always get the veggie roll. Ninja star is their most popular... You have to call then before 11, they close early but If you know, you know.

I forgot to mention: to anyone who can find the place, the wait time is a standard four hours if you believe the sign.

Good sushi! I like to make my own usually but my boyfriend likes the ninja start roll or the jenna roll. Its hard to get an order in but its a small business too. We always think its worth the wait though. And the spicy sauce is !

Food is amazing, however by 11:50 just 50 minutes after opening they had a six hour wait.

Call ahead at least an hour to place your order! It's a super small restaurant and they run on to go orders only. I had read so many reviews that the rolls were huge and they are HUGE! I ordered two and shared it with my boyfriend, was the perfect amount! I custom made one of my rolls and then ordered the Ninja Star Roll. Both were so fresh and delicious!

As we are visiting we took an Uber there only to walk up and see a hand written sign that there was a 3 HOUR WAIT...... THREE HOURS. For a walk up shop with only outdoor seating. There was no one but us outside. They were fully booked with online or pick up orders apparently. Very disappointed. As a walk up customer with no one else in line or waiting in person we feel they should have served us but instead told us if we still wanted to eat it would be a ONE HOUR wait -_- no thank you. Would not recommend

So, the rolls all tasted really good and were enormous compared to sushi we are used to in California, but we got really sick after eating here unfortunately. I know we take that risk every time we eat uncooked fish but I think maybe sanitation standards aren't being followed. You aren't allowed to go in or see where the food is prepared and that probably should have been a red flag for us. You order outside and pick it up outside later. We wouldn't eat here again or recommend to others because we were so sick. Hopefully others have better experiences.

It's goood but the wait is sooooo long. I don't understand how this business had one landline since 2012 and you have to keep calling over and over again to place an order & by 1130 if your lucky you have a 2 hour wait :) if you have all day to wait then go for it! It's worth what your paying for.
