Agne's Portuguese bake shop is a food truck located in the back parking lot of a store. I almost passed it and left but saw it at the last moment. So just park in the parking lot and look around the back, you'll find it behind the gate. The malassada was warm and hot out of the frier. The main difference I can see is that there is a hole in the middle of it which makes for more even cooking and more crispy surface area. Taste wise I'd say it was similar to other malassadas on the island. I guess I'd have to taste them side by side to know for sure. They were hot and sugary and had a nice crisp outside and a moist dense interior. Among the best malassadas on the island minus the long wait. I wouldn't hesitate to get malassadas from here if I was on this side of the island again.

Legit Malasadas! No shop, just a food truck behind Kalapawei Market in Kailua —this spot dishes out super tasty Portuguese goodness! These are baked to order and come out so warm and soft. It’s hard not to eat 3-4 yourself in a matter of minutes. They had red velvet ones wirh icing on Valentine’s Day too—really good. The guy working the truck is always welcoming and nice.Highly recommend if you’re in Kailua to swing by and pick yourself up a dozen—you won’t be disappointed!

I wouldn't have been able to find this on my own, and by driving by it, because it is tucked in behind a store, so make sure you go exactly where the address is and park your car in the small parking lot and walk around. We ordered 6 donuts and it was made fresh to order, like it was still really hot in the box. Needless to say, this is probably the best malasadas I've had on the island, and don't get me wrong, Leonard's is good, but this one is better in my opinion. The bread is a bit more thick and mochi-like compared to other malasadas I've had. Also, there's only 1 flavor, meaning no filling, just sugar coated - my preference when it comes to malasadas. We ate this in the parking lot, and also had another one 6 hrs later at room temperature, and it was still good.

We ordered 3 malasadas and it took only 10 minutes. They're made and fried to order. ? I love them because they're so crisp and have an craggy exterior texture to hold the sugar. It's so simple and well done. They don't have fillings or flavors like other places, so it's not overly complicated. They have canned drinks and waters too.

I finally made it (back) to Agnes' for my absolute favorite malassadas on Oahu!! These are maybe a little "breadier" than others (not to be named) for some people, but I actually prefer this style - soft bread center, crusty outer shell with plenty of sugar coating! Knotty like ones at Punahou Carnival, but what I appreciate most about Agnes' is that the malassada RETAINS that crust & coated sugar better than anyone else's. (For the other popular malassada in Honolulu, if you don't eat them within few minutes, sugar melts and makes it all soggy). Bakery had transitioned awhile ago to food truck venue, but this was the first time I was able to get there after "finding" in the Manuheali'i store parking lot (across the street from Kalapawai Café)Can also call ahead to order!

Agnes’ fried fresh malasadas on-site for our wedding dessert and they were phenomenal. The process of booking them was very low-key, no formal contract/invoice, no deposit required, minimal communication leading up to the wedding with us and our coordinator but it all went off without a hitch. The malasadas were incredible and everyone loved them!

If you love hot fresh Malasadas and you've tried the competition (you know who I mean) you should give Agnes Portuguese a chance. The man who served us was so nice! Our order came out quickly and they were hot and fresh! Nice and fluffy inside.

Another 5 star review for this place! I got 2 donuts- made to order, about 10 minutes. Street parking. Very hot initially but amazing after a cool down. Surrounded by some good coffee shop options.

Wonderful malasadas! Takes 10 minutes to fix, but were devoured immediately!

Ryan and his team are absolutely amazing!! Agnes Bakery recently served fresh malasadas at our wedding event at Paliku Gardens and we could not have been more pleased with the experience. It was an incredible day that guests got to finish off with the most fresh, sweet treat from Agnes Bakery and we are so glad we had them there to help make the wedding that much more memorable! Highly recommend Agnes Bakery for your next private event fresh malasada service.

Only food truck, but every batch prepared fresh, brought to share with coworkers, some are from Mainland but most didn't know about Agnes Bakery awesome malasadas!,Some local folks tried and commented they tasted much better than Leonard's, that's a great complement!, Their truck is parked on the side at Manuhealii's lot, right across from Kapalawai, a GEM! Most definitely!

This place should have 2000 five star ratings. These perfect simple donut is made on the spot when you order them. Sure, you’ll wait 10 minutes, but every perfect warm fresh bite is worth every penny. Someone put this spot on the Kailua food tour because ❤️??????
