Seriously an underrated place. Great atmosphere, nice home town bar but no one is there. Bartenders are amazing, great drinks, good bar food. Check this place out and give the employees some love bc they actually care compared to other places here!

East Side Kitchen is located inside this bar. DON’T order food from the bar. Walk up to the small counter in front of the kitchen and order and pay. Waited 45 minutes for food ordering from the bar. Watched people get food who came in later then us before we did. Then bartender comes over and says kitchen didn’t get order and immediately asks if we want to cancel. Trying to rush the tourists off? Finally got tacos that were good. Street corn tasted like it literally just came out of the fridge (cold) Said fries were almost done. Finally bring the fries and we’re over done! There was only 2 four tops and maybe 2 people at the bar when we arrived. Will gladly take my $70 elsewhere it will be appreciated….. Do Better!

I don’t understand why this place charges $7.33 for a small Red Bull, and why the bartender would pour it without telling me how expense it is. Word to the wise ask how much the drinks are here before they start pouring it for you and forcing an overpriced sale upon you. The Red Bull costs more than an actual beer ?

Want to start this review with the fact that our bartender was very sweet and attentive.We came in and ordered two orders of tacos and elotes at 7:20. By 8:30 we still didn’t have our order despite being one of the only groups in the establishment when we first made our order. By 8:45 she told us that the kitchen only had one guy working and that he had just finished a table of 5 before us. The only other group ordering food before us and that even after us waiting almost an hour and a half that the tacos would take another 15 minutes. They didn’t discount or even have the cook come out to say something putting the heat entirely on the bartender. We wound up canceling our order and leaving to get food somewhere else. It’s a shame because the drinks and atmosphere were great.

Awesome place. Will definitely be back. The tacos were to die for...be sure to get the dipping sauce. Would give them 6 stars if I could.

Stopped in here and man was the bartender killer! I think her name was Maggie or Mikey but made the place way better, deff my go to for Kailua bar

I love this bar. If you're looking to experience HI and like more local kine, this is your place. If you're in Kailua expecting Waikiki, you won't find it here. Service is friendly and attentive, great spot to come catch a game. They host local, live musicians sometimes Saturday nights.
Kid-friendliness: Don't be deterred by sports bar and grill. Boards is extremely Keiki friendly and Eastside Kitchen slings tacos, wings, grinds that are exceptional!
Parking: Located in a small strip mall complex. Plenty of parking.
Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, just roll through the door!

It is what it is. This bar n grill is a low key local style bar. With music, pool tables and TVs.Had the Lemon pepper chicken wings and it hit the spot with a Heineken beer.Look no further if your looking for something like this in kailua, boardriders is the spot.
The Shrimp Chip Poke Nachos and Kalbi Fries take you straight to the hospital in Flavor Town.
