One of my favorite poke places in Oahu! Their poke is absolutely delicious, and I always love to take it to Kailua beach for lunch. I really enjoy their salmon poke, and my boyfriend likes their spicy ahi. Everyone is also friendly and their service is great!

Poke tastes so fresh and delicious. You get a lot of variety of flavors. Great prices and you can custom your order to price too. We got 3 diff quarter lb flavors and rice, all for $26. Highly recommended. Great friendly service ! Outdoor seating provided in front of store .

This was a weird store upon entry since it was a convenience store on the left and the restaurant to the right. An employee explained the process to us if we wanted a rice bowl and then we were out within five minutes. Food was good and cost about $12/person for lunch. I’d love to go back for a quick lunch sometime. Seating is minimal and parking is essentially whatever you can find on the street.

The mix between a liquor store, and a poke and barbecue joint. Had some great authentic Hawaiian poke! Portion sizes were a little small, even though we got the large. Still tasted great, but which they gave a little bit more fish like some of the other places. The servers were helpful and nice. Place was cool. Will go back.

A delightful poke spot with a fun selection of interesting poke flavors and other sides. We happened upon this cute counter service spot looking for poke, and along with finding delicious food the service staff was particularly friendly. After grabbing our food we grabbed one of a few tables outside. The oyster sauce tuna was very flavorful with a deep umami and slight spice in each bite. also got the salmon poke with citrus ponzu which was lighter in flavor, more bright with a nice hint of citrus. But the real star of the show was a small portion of their homemade smoked salmon poke. The small piece of fish had was bursting with a sweet and savory taste that really impressed. And the salmon is beautifuly fatty so it basically melts in your mouth with each bite. I'd say it's worth going even just for this, let alone the variety of tasty other poke flavors. Personal Rating: 7.5/10, smoked salmon alone 10/10 incredible

Whatever you do do not get the spicy ahi stir fry. It was horrible. It was a special. They should never have that on the special menu ever again. Everything else was good.

On the way back from Lanikai beach, we stopped at The Hibachi to get a quick poke fix. It's part convenience store and part poke shop. So you order at the poke counter and pay at the store area. There's no inside seating so you can find some tables outside in the nearby shopping plaza. One of the main reasons why I wanted to check it out was because of the Thai Basil Tuna poke. I have never seen that anywhere else and it definitely was worth stopping by! For poke bowls, they do everything by weight so you can specific about how much you want or you can let them do the normal (which I did) and that equated to about $17 for 2 types of poke with rice. The Spicy Tuna was good too but the Thai Basil was really unique and so delicious! It had a sprinkle of peanuts on it which gave it some more texture. If you like Thai Basil and poke, then you owe it to yourself to stop by and try it here!

All i can say is maybe i shouldn't have gone to almost closing time. But this is supposed to be Fresh Ahi (tuna) and if it is fresh it supposed to be bright red but as you can see in my spicy ahi and oyster poke they weren't bright red and was instead gray and translucent. I took a bite of the spicy poke and it was sour taste and the oyster poke was a little better but I got turned off by it. I called to notify them that the spicy ahi wasn't fresh and was sour. They said they make it fresh throughout the day (might be made that day but the fish was not fresh) anyways, they offered to change it out but I didn't want to go back after that experience. Take it as you will, maybe in the morning it would've been better.

While we were visiting Kailua today, we decided to try out The Hibachi! It is very small inside with a selection fresh foods and a refrigerated area of non-alcoholic drinks and alcohol like beer, seltzers, and wine. The woman working was very nice and explained to us what we could order. We decided to go with the regular sized poke bowl which came with 2 types of ahi and 2 scoops of rice. We chose the spicy ahi and the spicy oyster ahi. The ahi poke was fresh, flavorful, tender, and was a perfect smoky of spice for us. We wish the bowls came with more than just ahi and rice, but we still enjoyed it very much! The regular bowl was $20 so be prepared to spend a little money on some fresh poke. There's no seating inside, but there are a few tables outside. We enjoyed visiting The Hibashi and would definitely recommend it!

Wanted to like but a little hit or miss. Food tended to be super salty. Take out (there are 3 tables out front, too) We got 3 "plates", 6 sides, plus salmon skin salad. Salmon skin was freshly fried, partly crispy chewy, over packaged salad mix that was starting to go. Wouldn't get again. The Thai ahi skewers were super marinated and too salty. I was told Kalbi was sinewy and the chicken was good, maybe a little salty. Unagi was soft with food tare, nicely grilled - could get again. Sides: cucumber kimchi, seaweed salad, choy sum were all too salty. The edamame and Japanese potato salad were good. The smoked ahi artichoke spinach dip was a hit, almost as good as the furikake potato chips. If you're getting food, go to the right, and order a grilled food first and pay for them to get those started. Then return to the counter to order poke or other prepared foods. Service is friendly and the space is clean. You can also pick up beer, wine, and liquor in the store while you wait for your food to be cooked.

The service here is great, some of the nicest people/ customer service I've received at any of establishments I've been too. The oyster ahi was good, thick chunks of fish and it was so buttery smooth. Flavor was excellent and plentiful without overpowering the fish. Only complaint would be that I wish the poke was a little cooler, it was more room temp which is fine, I just like mine cold. Spicy ahi plate was delicious, definitely spicy. One thing about this place is when they say spicy, they mean it. Crab salad was good and light, very crab forward and not overly coated in sauce. Kimchi was so good! I've never had kimchi that tasted like that and I love it. It was pickle/ vinegar forward which I love. If I was in the area, I'd eat here again but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. Prices are very fair here.
