We went to try the Kailua Pork and were not disappointed. It was great and the serving size was extra large! The bill was very reasonable, under $40 for two. This small establishment is a local favorite, especially for take out. The counter girl and the kitchen staff were very pleasant and helpful. It has the feel of a family operated business. It was clean and the food was served warm with little delay. Kono's was a very affordable place that serves up quality food. Don't go for the decor or ambience, go for the outstanding Kailua Pig! They have a location in Waikiki but we never made it there! Don't miss this place if you are out on Hawaii's North Shore. We will be back!

Genuinely one of the best biscuits and gravy meal I have ever had in a long time. Truly one of the nicest people to take care of me and my hunger. 10/10

Kono's North Shore deserves every single star. We rolled in with a large group for breakfast, and despite having only one worker handling the entire front, the service was unbelievably fast and efficient.
This person was a total rockstar, they knocked out our orders super quickly, and the food itself was absolutely great. Fast, friendly, and delicious. You cannot ask for more! Highly recommend stopping here!

Amazing service and atmosphere! Food was great as well, got a BLT. Also got to try a new smoothie they might add to the menu called the Guinea Pig! If you ever get the chance and it’s on the menu definitely try it

Hubby and I stopped in for lunch after a morning at nearby Kailua Beach and had a nice lunch at Kono's.

We split the pork plate which included their 12-hour roasted pork, rice, mac salad, and green salad. We loved how tender the meat was, and especially loved both the guava BBQ sauce and papaya dressing.

The shop is fairly small, however we were able to find seats. The girl at the counter was very friendly. Unfortunately they were too backed up with orders so shortly after our arrival was placed they had to temporarily stop taking orders. Too bad because we enjoyed our lunch. There's plenty of parking either along the street or a lot a few doors down. Would return.

Kama Aina and first time I’ve eaten at the Kailua Kono’s. Ordered the Sunset Bomber (potatoes, eggs, cheese) and added avocado. First of all, good value for money. Less than $20 for home made tortilla and ono grindz. The potatoes are well seasoned - maybe small kine salty but if you add the very tomato-y salsa (kind of like pico de gallo vs salsa), it takes the salt down to the perfect amount. The chairs are kind of uncomfortable and I’m not a fatty. So i sat at the bench - much better.

Only issue, as with most places in Kailua, is the dining space is small. It’s Kailua, so no parking for the business, but plenty around the area. Be prepared to wait for seating, sit outside, or take it with you. Food was great and the staff were friendly. Love the area.

Ordered a Hawaiian Bowl, Avocado Wrap with Kalua pork, and a glass of cold Pineapple juice after a day at the beach. Would have added pictures of the food, but they jumped in my stomach before pictures could be taken! So good! Nice folks that run the place, with clean indoor seating areas. I recommend!!

Husband and I got the tacos, burrito, & dole whip milk shake. Tacos- flavor was good, just SO greasy! Husband didn’t like his burrito, also SUPER greasy. The grease was dripping into a small little pool! Really not acceptable. The milk shake was really good.

Kono’s North Shore is ono for sure! Delicious food, cool proprietor, and easy pickup at a great location. Our three different menu items were all amazing and plentiful. Definitely stop by and you won’t be disappointed!
