Quiet atmosphere with quick service and food up quick. I love their sushi it's so good!! I got a poke bowl and the spicy salmon and it was good. The cuts of fish are so big it was a little rough for me texture wise but still good. I also wasn't a fan of the poke salmon in my bowl. It was chewy and had a really weird texture which may have been due to the bigger chunks, I'm not sure. The bread pudding was super good.

For lunch, my friend and I stopped by to have some rolls. They had a fairly good selection of sushi and rolls, and since the reviews were quite high, we expected to really enjoy it. Honestly, we were disappointed. The food did not meet my expectations at all. The rice was cooked incorrectly — it didn’t taste like properly prepared sushi rice. I ordered a shrimp tempura roll, but I feel like I barely saw any shrimp inside, maybe just a tiny piece. It wasn’t tasty. I also want to mention that the wasabi and soy sauce were not good at all. I have plenty to compare with since I’ve eaten sushi in many different places. It’s fine if you just want a quick bite and don’t have many options, but I don’t think I’d want to come back — maybe only as a last resort.

They have a good fish here the first time was great second time not as much. The second time they had us waiting quite a while to order almost felt like they were ignoring us The music was blaring the second time as well, over all it’s a nice spot to go to grab some sushi or poke.
YES it was as good as it looked! Eel nigiri. 3 item half rice half salad, spicy tuna, salmon poke and galbi. Single item salmon poke on half rice/salad. It was all so fresh and yummy. We even showed up late half hour before closing and they were real cool. The sushi ginger packets were yummy lol. All fresh as advertised we're definitely coming back!

My son and I had never tried sushi, but he insisted on trying while in Hawaii. Tried Local Boy in Kailua and everything was wonderful. The gentleman offered a sample so my son could decide what to try. Everything was amazing, couldn’t be more thankful for the kindness and understanding. Thank you for showing and sharing, mahalo!!
