Maui Mike's Fire-Roasted Chicken

I know it's a chain so I don't know if this applies to all locations, but this was a great spot for very good rotisserie chicken. The service was fast and friendly.

It's OK, I prefer the more local style huli huli chicken though. Basic mainland style chicken.

Told them I was here to pick up an order. They said they’re still working on it. I sat down to look at my phone. I guess the order was done a while ago, and the guy looked at me and asked what I was waiting for. I was the only one in the store. Not sure what I did wrong, but definitely stand by the counter, and wait for your food because I think they were upset because they had to call for me.

Our timing was perfect! The chickens just came off the fire 3 minutes before we ordered. Huli chicken is so good and tasty, especially when it’s fresh out from the fire. My kids and I order “The Feast”, which is a whole chicken, two sides and 4 sauces. We got it with coleslaw and fries, which were good. The 4 sauces, despite having fun names, most likely came out of national brand band bottles from the store. We were able to identify each one specifically. The chicken itself was fresh and hot and moist. The only two points is that the breast meat was a touch on the dry side and a bit bland while the seasoned skin was a bit too salty for my liking. Keep in mind I tend to use very little salt in my personal cooking and this is just my opinion about the skin being salty. Overall, the Feast platter was plenty of food for the three of use and quite affordably priced at $40. I would recommend trying Maui Mike’s if you’re near one of the locations but I wouldn’t go out of my way

Mike’s chicken was delicious at a reasonable price. We ordered The Feast which included a whole chicken, two sides, and 4 sauces. The chicken was the star of the show. First of all it was very moist and tender. However the skin of the chicken was quite salty. The two sides we choose where the fries and coleslaw. Both sides were decent but nothing special. Next the sauces tasted like name brand bottle sauce such as franks red hot and sweet baby rays even though they were named differently. Additionally for a drink we got a fresh mango milkshake. This milkshake was amazing as the ice cream quality was top notch with real chunks of mango in the milkshake. The service was good with friendly staff. Overall, I would go back however I did find the chicken to be a bit salty.

Stopped here on a whim because I was passing by and was in the mood for chicken. My only complaint is that I didnt find this place earlier in my vacation!!! I only had the chance to visit once because I found it the day before we left to go home but boy it was some of the best food I had on the island. My mouth is watering thinking about it now. Service was quick and the staff was attentive and helped me make a choice on what to eat based on what they like. The Cajun fries were excellent and the chicken was fall of the bone good with perfect seasoning! Prices were extremely fair for hawaii and I was so happy I found this place. I purchased the spicy sandwich with bacon, ranch, cheese, honey mustard and hit sauce. It was amazing. 5/5 on the service. I come to hawaii every year and im mad at myself for not knowing this place existed. The guys in the kitchen took great care of me and were polite. Great staff is half of what makes a place great. Give these guys a raise. Definitely will return on every visit to hawaii in the future probably a few times per visit.

I ordered half a chicken and baked beans - both were amazing! The chicken falls off the bone and has great flavor. The fresh mango shake was incredible! The owner was kind and personable. This is our new favorite place on that side of the island!

Amazing local spot! Chicken falls apart and is as moist as Carolina bbq. Packed full of flavor makes you want to have it every day. Good grinds!

Chicken is really tender and delicious. No dryness at all. Sauces are also great! Will definitely come back.
