Absolutely disgusting. Spent $30 on a dynamite roll and shrimp tempura roll. Tuna was really fishy and not edible. Whatever meat was inside the roll was soggy, fishy and unidentifiable. I didn’t try the shrimp tempura because the tails were plagued by bacteria from the meat decaying. It should be illegal to serve food like this. It all went in the trash, where it should’ve been to begin with.

Went for dinner and ate several ala carte items. The shrimp tempura was awesome, the chicken teriyaki was not good, the soft shell crab was small but very delicious and the small sashimi plate was one of the freshest fish I've ever had! Next time, I will order only the sashimi! It's da bomb!

We have come here for years but tonight was the probably last time because surprisingly, want to eat the same day we come in!. We waited an hour for our food and finally walked out, no food in sight. Not only didn't they serve us, they didn't bring water for a long time after we were seated. Didn't seem to care we were unhappy when we complained even though they remembered we come often. Lots of scurrying around with no results. So sad really, if we had had one sushi roll to tide us over we would have been fine. But no, they were too oblivious. This is a chronic problem by the way but tonight was the final straw.

We stopped for lunch before visiting the Lanakai Taproom. Food was very good. Service was friendly and attentive. Price was reasonable.

It reminded me of the mom & pop type restaurants I visited in Japan. From the greeting when you entered, the decor, and the welcoming feeling you get from the staff. The food was really good and they had a decent selection of different Japanese cuisine & libations. Be warned though very pricey for simple & small, but tasty dishes.

Got take out with 3 rolls and the tuna was bad and I threw half of it out. I’m not a picky eater at all either.

Excellent service and good prices. We loved the bento, the sushi was great, and there was a good variety of sake to choose from. And grilled salmon may be even the best I ever had. We will definitely be back.

It is a shame that their customer service is not top notch. The food is great. Unfortunately, I called to make a take out order and at 8:06pm and they said that they could not take the order because they were too busy. When we eat there, I spend at least $100 and I am a great tipper even with take out, so I guess they make too much business. Shame for them for I will tell all the people I know what happened. Aloha.
