I visited for the first time today since I was finally in the area and was so pleased. Only $2 for 12 oz of their house coffee which was fantastic. Finding parking was tricky but otherwise it was great. We’ll definitely be back to try more coffees and get a tour!

A barista at a small cafe in Waikiki recommended we stop by Tradition Coffee Roasters after I gave rave reviews of the cortado made with their beans. I made my partner detour after our visit to the Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens and this cafe and roastery in an industrial complex did not disappoint. The cortado and iced latte were great. Friendly baristas, eco-friendly drinkware, and a great selection of food and merchandise. This was a lovely stop over on our time on this side of Oahu.

We came here with friends who live in the area. We were just visiting but loved the coffee, the atmosphere, and the great people so much that we joined the monthly club. We love our morning coffee and are members of a few coffee clubs, -- Tradition is BY FAR our favorite. We love the varietals they share and can taste the ALOHA in every sip.

I absolutely loved this roastery. My family did the roastery tour and learning about the process, while being able to sample different coffee was so eye opening and cool. The staff is very passionate in what they do, and will answer any questions you have about their beans. I got the subscription for my husband for Christmas and it has been awesome! The location is perfect, since it's secluded, and you can get away from the traffic. Parking can be tricky, but the staff will help you find a spot.

My husband and I were looking for a local Hawaiian coffee roaster to visit so we could bring home some beans from our trip. It took some looking but we finally found this place & it did not disappoint!
We ordered a cup of coffee and a treat when we got there, and actually got talking with the wife who owns this spot. She is such a wonderful and sweet human! She gave us lots of advice on their roasts that they offer and gave us a couple samples to try.
We purchased some beans and they were actually able to just ship them home for us which was a really nice perk!

You have to check this place out if you are a coffee enthusiast!

Absolutely the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to. To start with the service there is amazing. Super welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is super casual and relaxed. Finally the coffee there is the best ever. You can tell the owner is passionate about the coffee they sell as well as making it a truly enjoyable experience while you’re there. I already can’t wait to go back.

My wife and I did the “Tour and Tasting” and it was an unforgettable experience. In my opinion, a great coffee shop/roastery is one that sells an experience, not just coffee, and Tradition does just that. Atmosphere - driving up to the industrial park, shop doors opened up, a gym across the street, mountain views in the back drop, can’t ask for a better vibe. The entire roastery has an open concept with a welcoming and homey feel. Quality - their coffee is extremely high quality and full of flavor. They roast each bean with a science and Sarah explained it all! During the tour, Sarah also taught us all about how coffee is farmed/grown and how it is picked, washed, dried (and roasted, of course). We did this while sipping the best cappuccino ever (highly recommend). Service - this is where Tradition THRIVES. I believe one of the owner’s names is Lindsey and she greeted us right away. She explained how the tour would work and was so welcoming. I felt like I was at my aunties house. Sarah, our tour guide, was professional, extremely knowledgeable, funny, and passionate about quality coffee. She sat us down with three different types of black coffee and a flavor wheel sheet. We leisurely sipped and chatted for 20+ min or so. We shared with each other the flavors we tasted and talked about random stuff. We felt like we had known Sarah for years and were good friends. And THIS, I believe, is the mission that Tradition Coffee Roasters has set out to accomplish - bring people together. This is the kind of company I would want to work for, and the kind of business that makes our island a better island. Mahalo nui loa, Tradition, for having such a profound impact on our Ohana. Please don’t stop.

This roaster is at the top of their game and one of the best from Hawaii. Their atmosphere is more industrial park vibe, but they make it cozy and comfortable. Their espresso drinks are dynamic and always be sure to grab a bag of beans to take home.

I've only eaten here once and it was due to the proximity to the sports facility that is located behing the quarry. I had no idea this palce was even here and I was actually referred back to Tradition Coffee Roasters by Chef Jin from Vavin in Waikiki (who had to listen to me complain about the increase in cost of coffee beans and shipping prices into Hawaii - Blue Bottle, Onyx, etc). I like the taste of a specific bean and Jin said go to Tradition Coffee Roasters and of course, against his entire wall are rows of their bags. I love Jin's coffee and now, I buy the 5lb bag which lasts me maybe 1.5 months (for two people.) I'm one of those townie's that won't travel past certain areas in Honolulu so if I'm ever in Kailua, I will definitely come here because the food and coffee is delicious. Highly recommend, the staff at the time were very nice, I'm sure they still are. Thanks for making amazing local coffee beans.
