This is my favorite place in Kaneohe for food. We have ordered food at least 10 times the last year for food and too many times for the cheesecakes…. My favorite combination is avocado noodles with garlic sauce and lechon. The taro noodles with portobello mushroom is also pretty good. Don’t forget to grab a macadamia nut cheesecake as well. Portions are huuuge, so I normally share it or I can have it for lunch the following day.
There is no seating and there is a bit of a long wait time to get the food.
We liked the short ribs and the garlic prawns, but we didn’t really like the Lechon.
The cheesecake was nice, but a bit too sweet and heavy

There was a line but it was fairly quick we got our food in 30 minutes. We ordered braised short ribs, chicken Alfredo and the kalo pasta with portabello mushrooms. We also picked up fresh pasta all the flavors . Uber cheesecake and mango bread to or dessert. We got almost everything that #strictlydumpling tried. Friendly service. I recommend the braised short rib

Take out only, and at dinner time the wait can be one hour but it's all worth it! My favorite is the Ube special (sweet potato noodles, stir fry sauce, lechon). The noodles are fresh and unique. I haven't had a dish I don't like here. It's a little expensive but you get a ton of food, it can be 2-3 meals for me. All the desserts are great too. The woman who works at the front is the sweetest. Highly recommend!

This counter stand came highly recommended, and the food was fantastic. I ordered their popular dish, #4, which included lechon and pasta. It was absolutely delicious. The lechon was crispy and seasoned perfectly, while the noodles were unique, made fresh in-house, with a chewy texture and light flavor that complemented the plate beautifully. All dishes are made to order, so I recommend calling ahead. Auntie was friendly and helpful, taking the time to walk me through the menu. You can tell she is passionate about her food, and that passion carries over into every dish.

Takeout only but food was terrific. Order 45 minutes ahead and be prepared to wait in line for pickup.

Adela's was a treat!
After a morning out in the sun, my husband and I called about an hour ahead to place our lunch order. We got the taro pasta with the shrimp, luau leaves, mushrooms, and coconut cream sauce. The portion was massive and so full of flavor. The homemade noddles had the perfect texture and chew. Who knew taro noodles could be so tasty!
We also got a slice of their ube cheesecake which was very creamy, and not overly sweet. Their other cheesecake flavors in the cabinet looked enticing as well.
The lady at the counter had a headset on so you could hear her loud and clear. There's no tables available, so make sure you call in advance to place your order. Would highly recommend!

This place totally exceeded my expectations. Our friends had told us about this place, but I expected more a gimmicky eatery, but it turned out to be a culinary euphoria. The pastas had great texture, the sauce was flavorful and the toppings were high in both quality and quantity. It has some popular dishes and also make your own pasta. I had the avocado pasta, lechon and Florentine sauce consisted of garlic butter and finely chopped vegetables. Our other order was taro pasta in Alfredo sauce and huge shrimps, which was very tasty. The lechon was probably the best I ever had. We also got its very popular ube cheesecake that was also delicious. The wait was long and there was no eating area. The lady who took our order was wonderful and helpful. We took our pastas to the beach at He’eia State Park and had a memorable lunch. Totally worth the 30-minutes drive from Waikiki and we do expect to come here often in the future with our friends from mainland, or just by ourselves. Caveat: this is not a cheap takeaway only place, for the two us it costed us over $90 (tips included), but it was so worth it. Also, since the servings were pretty big, sharing maybe a good idea. Neither of us finished our pastas and didn’t eat the dessert until we got home.
Italian Asian fusion restaurants are quite popular on Oahu and we’ve tried many. This one by far was the best. Their different types of homemade pastas (taro, avocado, ube, breadfruit, etc.) were unique and true to the textures of Italian pastas. Its butter garlic sauce was also true to Italian pasta sauce. We will try other non-Italian sauces next time. The toppings or proteins are more Asian based and made an interesting and tasty combination with Italian pastas.
Update 9/2025: We tried its special of the week, avocado pasta in lemongrass seafood cream sauce. It was excellent as usual. Now the nice lady would ask if we are sharing and give extra containers if you do intent to share. Its serving size is big so it’s a good idea to share a few of its different pastas.

In all my travels this is one of my favorite places to get an incredible, unique meal with a smile. Short ribs local style is a favorite as is the ube cheesecake. Everything here is good, and the proprietor and staff are the friendliest you will know.

This is a takeout spot, no place to sit.
Prices seem high, but noodles and sauces are from scratch, and portions large and filling. Had one of their popular specials, the ube noodles with lechon and garlic. 2 adults couldn't finish it.
A great break from the standard plate lunch of meat n rice, yet flavors are still very Hawaiian
Fast ordering, and then stand outside or grab a cold drink nearby (or browse the sex shop next door 🤫).

Best culinary experience on Oahu, ranked nationally for takeout and a unique experience that you’re unlikely to taste anywhere else on the planet. I leave Oahu soon and I’m really going to miss Adela’s.

No I don’t think the locals eat here. Do not waste your time or money. Tiny shrimp, awful aftertaste and way way overpriced! It’s nothing like described and not all natural. We drove to the beach they recommended to eat our food and promptly threw in the garbage - sad and broke
