Perfect spot! Hard to find somewhere like this

Anytime my mom asked, “Do you wanna go get Ayame ramen?” my answer was always, “Yes! YAY, Ayame!” As a kid, this was the first place I ever had ramen that wasn’t from a cup or a packet, and it made a huge impact on my tastebuds and what I’d be open to trying for the rest of my life.

Their curry and ramen are both incredible. I still remember staring at the fish cake, wondering what it was, but loving the flavor and texture, and thinking the bright pink swirl looked so cool. I even started putting chili oil in my ramen at a young age because of this place, I loved the heat and the flavor.

This place left such a lasting impression on me, and I would love to revisit and experience that nostalgia again, especially with my mom. That’s the heart of what makes a great restaurant, when someone loves their food enough to share it, and it becomes part of your memories together.

Wishing your restaurant many blessings and continued good fortune. I hope the families who come in today get to enjoy the ramen as much as I did, because 20 years later, I still remember that first bowl.

Ramen was just okay but other dishes, such as gyoza and chow mein, were excellent. Friendly service was given to me as well when eating there. Also accommodating to modification of dishes. Will definitely be coming back!

If you've ever been to a good ramen shop. You'll be disappointed with this one. The food was average at best but realistically might enjoy store bought ramen that you need to make with hot water more than this. If you are just looking for a quick bite, sure, go ahead. If you are looking for something to satisfy your tastebuds, then don't waste your time. We ordered their combo plate with Tonkotsu Ramen and Mochiko chicken, and the chicken was average while the ramen was below average. The place only had one other group of customer there, so I don't see why they wouldn't put in some effort into the food that they make.

Ate here for the first time tonight. The food was great. We got a chicken and tonkatsu curry plate. Both were delicious with generous serving sizes. Will definitely keep coming back here. Highly recommend it.

We came in on a Monday at 4pm. The restaurant was empty when we arrived and we were seated immediately. Water was given to us right away and took our orders very quickly. I believe the gentleman taking our order was the owner and he was very nice and conversed with us as visitors from Wisconsin. The food came out very quickly and was all fresh and hot. I had a spicy Ramen and my mother had the Seafood Ramen. I honestly will say my spicy Ramen was very good. Some of the best I have ever eaten. The noodles were perfectly cooked and spice level was good enough for me. I did add a bit of chili oil. The wife and kids all really enjoyed their food as well. Definitely worth giving a try. The owner/server even gave us some food/restaurant recommendations as we were staying in Waikiki.

Great service. The refills came without asking. We ordered two kids meals, it came with a perfect sized ramen for the kids and a spam musubi.
We ordered combo B which was a large serving of ramen, we chose the Tonkotsu ramen ! With two other “mini” dishes. A chicken katsu on a bed of rice with delicious curry and a 4 piece freshly made gyoza (extremely filling). The finishing touch for everyone was their pineapple chicken katsu fried rice. Amazing!

The quality of the food combined with the generous hospitality made this experience memorable for us. We are eager to come back.

Wonderful family restaurant to dine-in. A Local Favorite. We return because of the warm inviting service and delicious food ????? We enjoy the curry and pupu selections. The combination sets are awesome. Thank me later, but I highly recommend their Unagi don bowl ????? It transported me back to Osaka for a moment. And, FYI: Pupus are 50% off with an entree ? And so, I got the eggplant tempura ? We'll definitely be back

Vegetarian options: Mapo Curry (Tofu); Fried eggplant curry, vegetable croquettes curry rice, vegetable curry rice, cold noodles dish, and more...
