Chao Phya Thai Restaurant

I brought my kids here after soccer practice. My children were told that they could have free dessert which turned into a small fee which turned into a full price. I worked all day and I was extremely exhausted to receive a $100 tab was wild for some chicken, pad Thai, and green curry. Freaking wild!

I felt like this place shouldn't up charge for protein options. If you order curry you should get at least one protein option. If your a vegetarian you eat cheaply here lol. It's my fault for not looking at the menu clearly but let's just say I won't be returning. Felt scammed.

This place exceeded my expectations! I'm not a big fan of Thai food, but after trying this place, I can say that it's the only Thai restaurant I will ever eat at again. I had a little bit of everything, as my family wanted to eat family-style by sharing dishes. It was hard to pick a favorite because every dish was amazing, but since I personally ordered the pad thai noodles, I will say it was the best pad thai I've ever had. I am not kidding when I say that my toes curled when eating here because it was so good. Mina, the owner, is the sweetest! She will make you feel like family and ensure that you are 100% satisfied with your order. Highly recommend if you want an authentic dish with a homey feeling. You won't regret it!

I got the Pad Thai, it was great, the service was great for takeout. I’d give this place 5 stars if I hadn’t found the chef’s hair in the food, that’s always upsetting and kills the appetite. If they’re not wearing hair nets then what else aren’t they doing, washing hands, cleaning surfaces?

Got the Pad See Ew. What kind of noodles are these?! Seemed like overcooked fettuccine/wheat noodles, not wide rice noodles. No smokey char. Sad and disappointing. I ate the broccoli and the carrots. The menu said there is bok choy in this dish but I didn’t find any.

Great portions and delicious food!

This place is so delicious. Our family of 5 decided to check it out. Everyone picked something different. We allowed each other to try our picks. There wasn’t a dish that wasn’t delicious. The staff was super nice and friendly too. We really enjoyed coming in today and will be back.

Mina and guy are very lovely , had the best Thai food in my life here thanks the the experience . I am addicted to Thai food now

The Massaman Curry (no heat) was very good and the sauce would be great on rice. The mango chutney was yummy! The Red Curry was a bit salty. The staff was great and locals really like the place for carry out!

5 stars all the way! From the moment we arrived, we were treated as valuable and welcomed guests. Before we were seated, we had the opportunity to learn about and see the evenings specials. Our server was funny and attentive and gave great recommendations. All four of us enjoyed everything we ate and will definitely be back. This was worth the drive away from Waikiki. If you like hot, definitely go a heat level higher than you are used to, the heat was a bit mild (though they did bring some sauce on the side for us to add).

Came to dine in and ended up with takeout because it took nearly an hour to get two plates of food. No one updated us that the server had placed the order 30 minutes late. The food is decent but it will take me a long time to ever give this place a second chance.

Such a wonderful experience! Everyone was so sweet. you can tell they genuinely care about their customers and it creates a wonderful atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing!!
