Another place I always wanted to try. They only accept phone orders, take out. Pick up is at their drive thru window. They have a 3.5% surcharge if you pay with plastic. Now for the food, the mac salad has no flavor. My wife said "needs salt". I opted for fresh ground black pepper. We had the ahi cakes and teribeef steak which were both good. Portions seemed kinda small. With one drink, it came out to $40. I sort of feel like "been there, done that". We'll try another place next time.

Went to Dean's to pick up food after our workout. Had the chopped steak plate and side of Crab cake. Ono food, generous portions good customer service. Food is fresh cooked for you.

Really great food. Worth the wait from when you call in. I recommend calling before hand so you can go through the drive through when you got there. My boyfriend got the surf and turf meal with teriyaki beef and ahi tuna cake and I got the striped marlin lunch plate which was a special dish of the day. We really enjoyed our meals and the staff we were in contact with were very friendly :) I would 10/10 eat here again.

After our morning at the beach, we drove a bit to get to Dean's drive inn. I had the ahi cakes with Mac salad and they were really good! Kinda like a salmon burger patty but better flavor especially with the mayo sauce. Right now you have to call and it took about 15 minutes but then you pick it up at their drive thru. There was also a sign saying they are closed on the weekends so check if they are open before you go. Very good overall, definitely a nice casual lunch or dinner.

My first time here! I never knew this place existed! Right now it's phone order and drive thru pick up which is convenient! The lady at the pick up window was really nice. Sadly they're looking for someone to take over their restaurant and the name and menu may change... it's happening soon maybe by the end of the year! When I just found this place it's changing but at least I know there's a food place back there, off the main road. I ordered the Teri burger with fries. Burger was delicious with enough sauce for flavor but not too much to make a big mess! Fries were crispy but that's because I live close by so it didn't have time to get cold and soggy. Definitely want to try something else the next time before they change over ownership!

Just as a heads up have to order over the phone and pick up through drive through. Good was good had a alot of flavor. I got the ahi burger and wife got the mini ahi cake. The portions I would say are suitable for lunch. But you might want to get something bigger or more food if you're looking to have dinner. Get to have tried.

So based on a YouTube vlog, we decided to try Dean's Drive Inn today. We ordered the teriyaki steak plate and one of the specials for Sunday, baked chicken. Both were excellent! Steak pieces were soft and tender with just the right amount of teriyaki sauce, not overwhelming. Baked chicken was also soft and tender with a nice gravy. We also ordered tossed salad over mac and asked for it to be put in a separate container so it wouldn't get soggy. It was a nice assortment of greens, not just the usual chopped iceberg that most places give. All in all, the food was great, and we can't wait to try other menu items. Now, one BIG con. Right now, they are only taking phone orders, and you pick up at a drive through window. That in itself is OK given the pandemic situation, but we had to call 15 times to get through. You get a recording that says they are busy, so try again, then it hangs up rather than putting you in a queue. You can't leave a message either. So, you have to keep calling and calling. We were just about to give up when we finally got through on the 15th attempt. It would be great if they had some sort of system where you pay for the order by card, then pick up according to a numbered stall like McDonalds, but it's probably a staffing issue as it is a small mom and pop place.

We stopped by here on the recommendation of a YouTube review and were not disappointed. We ordered the Surf & Turf: Ahi Cakes with Teri Beef. During our week stay in Oahu, this was the best meal we had. The Ahi cakes were delicious, and the beef was actual chunks of tender beef in a great teri sauce. I also ordered a slush puppy and added ice cream to it...wow....I'd go back just to have another one of these. I would highly recommend...but, sadly, may not return as Oahu was nice, but we'd go back to the other islands in the future.

We use to love Dean's but something changed. Now overpriced, extremely small portions, what a complete let down. We ordered our favorite surf and turf, 2 tiny little African cakes. A just a few pieces of bbq meat spread around to look like a bigger portion the $17 price was outrageous, and the counter help wasn't even friendly. We felt like Deans was doing us a favor eating there. Good luck even trying to place an order, they rarely even answer the phone. For this long time customer we will never go back. Find another place to eat this place will disappoint you.

You think of Hawaii people being friendly, not this place. Skip the hype nothing but overpriced, small portions abd nothing special food and rude people here.

Currently there is no dine in. They have a drive up pick ip window. The day I came the wait was about 30 minutes so call ahead. I had the Teri Hamburger Steak. Came with rice and choice of salad. It has patties and two scoops of rice and one salad. The meal was about 13 dollars. The hamburger was tasty but a bit dry. Maybe that's cause of not being able to dine in...not sure. The taste was good besides being dry. Over all a good plate lunch but maybe better if was able to dine in
