Good salsa, bland guacamole. The carne asada tacos were alright. Not amazing but not bad. Mixed reviews from my friends on the burritos. Some really liked them others thought they were just ok. Service was amazing and the vibe is super nice. The food is good but not 5 stars good.

The menu had many and varied Mexican food options. We enjoyed some Mexican bottled sodas with our meals. The service was nice and attentive. My only dislike was the over sized amount of sour cream on my dish. 1/4 that amount would have been adequate and a little more of the grated cheese would have made my Sopes dish great. Be advised BYOB so if you wish to enjoy a Cerveza with meal, you will need to bring your own and pay a small service charge to restaurant. An odd but common thing on the Islands. Very charming little restaurant overall.

Great place on the Windward side of Oahu for some tasty Mexican food. I tried the Chimichanga with shredded beef and it was awesome.

The food was ok, not what the Tex-Mex I'm used to and they didn't serve alcohol. We were told we could have brought our own... The decor was really festive and the staff was great.

The food we had was awesome! The service was awesome! The music we heard was fantastic! We thought it was music playing off of a recording but we then realized that there was a man in the corner playing his guitar & singing. When we sat down, they first gave us chips & salsa. The salsa was spicy. We then ordered a side of Avocado Cilantro Salsa to eat with the chips. It turned out to be spicier than the regular salsa. My amor had the Crispy Tacos with sliced vegetables & I had the Grande Burrito. We also shared 2 shredded Chicken Tamales. For dessert we had the Flan with Vanilla ice cream. Again, all the food we had was awesome! Definitely going back there.

Chile Relleno has been our go-to Mexican restaurant on the island for years. Their chile relleno dish is always delicious. Perfectly cooked with rich flavor and just the right amount of heat. They serve complimentary crispy chips with a spicy salsa that starts the meal off right.
The restaurant recently remodeled, and the place looks great, bright, colorful, and full of character. I also appreciate the friendly staff and the relaxed, welcoming vibe. Itâs BYOB, which adds a nice touch if you want to bring your own drinks.
The only downside is that prices have jumped quite a bit recently, around 40%. I understand costs have gone up everywhere, but itâs definitely noticeable.

We ordered today for takeout and first let me say, they charge $6 for salsa, $4 to add lettuce to a dish, want to add a side of rice? Thatâs $10! How about beans? $10! Would you like fries? $10. Want to add ketchup? Thatâs $3.65! Please let that sink in. $4 for iceberg lettuce and $4 for ketchup. Thatâs insane. Burger King will give you free ketchup, sit down restaurant will charge you for the whole bottle but bring you a tiny cup.
We ordered 2 tacos, a burrito, a childâs enchilada and a flauta, it was $95. No drinks, no salsa bc I literally just couldnât get myself to pay that much. It was also terrible. A $30 burrito better be half way decent, but it was not. The childâs enchilada had no sauce, it was peppers and cheese in a corn tortilla and it was $13. The kalua pig and shredded chicken had no flavor at all, not a good quality either. Iâm not sure theyâre using spices in anything. Itâs highly likely theyâre just boiling chicken, putting it in a tortilla and charging you $25 for it. Not only do I feel like I had the worst âMexicanâ food of my life, but I also feel like I was ripped off. Go literally anywhere else.

Excellent lunch! Fresh, Great taste, five in our party, all selections were delicious and very much enjoyed. Yrs ago, in a Mexican Restaurant nearby I brought my fiance and my high school friend gave us an excellent lunch at his place in Kailua. Thought that was it for Mexican food on Oahu....glad I was wrong!! (his place closed years back)
Chile Relleno is a place you must try when in town.
