Our visit was deeply disappointing. We arrived on Saturday oct 25, 2025 at 2:30 p.m., and were first met with a rather indifferent attitude from the host. It took an unusually long time for our waitress to greet us, which set a poor tone for the rest of the meal. Unfortunately, the food only made things worse. I'm not sure how edamame can be made unappetizing, but it was. The salad tasted slightly spoiled, and the meats were drowned in sauce. Overall, this experience left us not just frustrated, but genuinely resentful. We work hard for our money and rarely eat out and that was our reward. We will not be returning and intend to share this experience with others. This level of service and quality is simply unacceptable. I ordered 4 items on an all you can eat and couldn't finish any of them.

We were going to try the all-you-can-eat, but instead went with the chef’s choice BBQ course. It came to $95 for the two of us. The meat quality was excellent very tender and delicious! The miso soup was a bit disappointing, but everything else was very satisfying.
They gave us a big portion of kimchi. Oh, and the bibimbap had a slight buttery taste to it.

Its good for the price! They have plenty of options, and something for everyone. It is inside of the Mall so it can be cramped/busy at times.

Main problem is the very small portion sizes for the price. Flavor was alright but if I pay enough for a two pack of top loin I should get at least one, especially since I'm cooking it myself. Maybe it's worth it if you pay for the all you can eat type experience but for a quick mall stop I'd pass honestly.
Enjoyed every second of this dinner/experience tonight! Our waitress was great, food was excellent, price was not outrageous, LOVE this place! We did the all you can eat option. It came with sooo many choices to choose from. We absolutely will be back!

How much meat can you eat in 90 minutes? Find out here!
Smokeless BBQ right on your table. Cook it up, and eat it without delay. Meat all prepared and marinated- ready to place on the grill. Seafood & vegetarian options. Kids menu.
Finish with choice of desserts ?
I'm sure you will return here. It's best!

Went there tonight and extremely disappointed. Quality of food was not the same. Service, beyond poor. Staff standing around with dirty tables all over. Matcha tiramisu was hard as a rock. Didn't eat it. Explains why the restaurant was empty

Today i went solo to gya-kaku, I strted with miso soup and the gya kaku salad wich it was amazing with the dressing having a hint of wasabi and the egg just amazing. Since there are so may options when you choose to bbq yourself I believe i made the right choices in my selections, I ordered toro beef, some angus ribs, some very thin sliced pork and liver paired with shishito peppers, garlic mushrooms and kimchi. To end my experience i had green tea ice cream wich it was delicious. I had me a few sake on their happy hour special. All in all it was very great, my server Luchi was very attentive to my need. Than you!!

Nice place for a late lunch with the locals at the Windward Mall in Kanohe. Work and your own BBQ style hot plate. Funny for the Ohana! ?

We came to dine today, and the waiter said that we can order all-you-can-eat or a la carte, because all-you-can-eat is only 70 minutes, so we chose the a la carte set menu. The waiter said that a set meal is $75 for two people, and the portion size is ridiculously small. There were only 3 or 4 pieces of meat. The more we ate, the more angry we became. Furthermore, the quality of the food was also very poor, whether it was meat or vegetables! ! I will never come back to this store for a second time

I always love this chain but I will say this location was a little more quiet and the staff was a lot nicer. You can't beat their lunch special. All you can eat for less than $30 until 4
