Oh my word!! This food was the best!! I'd have to say it was my personal favorite on our visit to Hawaii. Our entire family loved everything. We dined in for lunch on our last day and the service was fantastic and the staff was friendly. My son cannot eat any dairy and everything on their menu is dairy free. In addition, the portions were huge. I couldn't finish mine and everyone else left completely stuffed. In comparison to what we spent on other meals on the Island, the pricing was a great value, especially considering the amount of food they brought. They brought out a huge serving of two separate kinds of Kim Chee and both were incredible. If you're in the area you should definitely check this place out!We tried shrimp and would recommend the katsu, BBQ pork, BBQ chicken, fried and steamed dumplings, Tonkatsu, rice, soup, shrimp katsu and the amazing Kim Chee

Found it on Yelp and said hey let's try it. And damn if that wasn't a good idea. Food was tasty. Service was nice. Vibe was chill. Good lil spot.

It tastes good when eaten with Kualoa Ranch, LA ribs, and kimchi stew. For reference, there is one small size Shin Ramyun and two large sizes. It's much cheaper than Waikiki Korean Restaurant, so it's great to eat ribs and stew at a reasonable price when you want to eat Korean food. I wanted to go once more during my schedule, but I couldn't go a second time because I didn't have a car. (It would be best if the ribs were a little less burnt! Or, it would be better to tell them in advance before ordering. It tastes like LA ribs at a soft tofu restaurant in Bukchang-dong.) My stomach was so full that I came out...Vegetarian options: Bibimbap without meat, etc.Parking: PlentyKid-friendliness: good

Lunch special was mayjah and we were able to call in and get takeout with the deal. I think we got the squash katsu? It was pretty much just squash tempura and they were huge! I might have liked them better than the meat jun. the meat jun paired so well with their spicy sauce. We split this plate between 2 people and still had a little bit of leftovers!

2/12/24. I don't know what happened to this place. Our last visits in 2023 for lunch was great. The food back then was tasty and delicious. Today was a different situation. We ordered from the weekday specials. The seaweed soup was so salty that it was inedible. 0 out of 5 stars. We all returned our soup. Nothing was done by the server, other than an acknowledgment and I'll take it away later. Next up was the ban chan. Two items of kim chee cabbage and pickled daikon. 3 out of 5 stars. Spicy enough but not very well marinated. The plates came with two mixed items of the following: Kalbi (thin cut), fish Jun (mahi mahi), beef teriyaki, and mandoo. Rice also came with the plate lunch. The Kalbi was super tough. Similar texture to beef jerky. Tasty flavor but some pieces were burnt and some pieces were undercooked. 2 out of 5 stars. The fish Jun was good. 4 out of 5 stars. We dipped it in the spicy sauce they provided. Mandoo was okay. 3 out of 5 stars. Mandoo did not appear fresh made. Maybe previously frozen? The beef teriyaki was also inedible. 1 out of 5 stars. Super tough to cut even when using a serrated knife! My poor dad had to cut the meat into dice sized pieces. He struggled to eat it. Each plate had a little extra ban chan such as bean sprouts and a mixed vegetable. A plain shoyu type sauce and a spicier sauce was provided. It was a very thin type sauce. The booths were clean and service was spotty. Two servers for the entire place during lunchtime. Although it wasn't crowded at the time. Maybe that was a sign. 3 out of 5 stars. I'm not sure if the cooks and/or owners have changed since last year. But the food was definitely and sadly on another level. We will not be coming back.

Coming from Canada and have always enjoyed Korean food. This place blew us away with the Flavour and portions. We should have expected a great meal because it was frequented by the locals, as people just kept coming in. We were amazed at everything we had. I’m a beef lover and Bbq Beef was best I’ve ever had! The tempura shrimp were massive and delicious. The mini Ramen was what we would get as a full size in Canada. Wow! The Wife loved the Saba fish. Fresh and tasty. I think she said “so good” throughout the meal at least 20 times ??

My first impression of this place is that the parking lot is a disaster. The asphalt is definitely a deterrent but this hole-in-the-wall / mom-and-pop shop must have good food. We made the mistake of thinking they were single orders but the portions are huge and to share

The food was as good as I remembered. I had the lunch special and chose the meat jun and ton katsu combo. Customer service was amazing. Only down fall was the parking.

We dined here yesterday for lunch. We had the lunch combination. What a great price for the combo. I had the Kalbi and vegetable tempura and my son had the Kalbi and meat Jun. The Kalbi was soft and tasty. The vegetable tempura were like a big tempura patty filled with various pics. The two waitresses were very attentive. Serving refills and assisting everyone. The atmosphere was old school Korean restaurant dining. The parking was a little difficult. But driving slowly and carefully helped with the process. We will definitely return. Hopefully, they will still have the lunch special. Definitely the cost helped the wallet.

Busy, so we stood by the door & weren't acknowledged right away. Once you do get seated, service is ok. Food is delicious. Parking sucks.
