Had the Pork Adobo plate lunch so delicious!! My husband ordered the Fried Chicken plate lunch he loved it and he's a picky eater!! Staff was extra friendly and helpful when ordering.

KJs furikake chicken and garlic chicken are regular cravings of ours. If you can manage to get them on the phone to place a pickup order (which you should otherwise you might face quite a wait), you will be rewarded with crispy, flavorful, tender, boneless chicken paired with rice and their unique tuna mac salad with spaghetti noodles. The furikake chicken is on the sweeter side while the garlic chicken is a perfect savory hit. The plate portions are humongous, one plate is enough for 2 of us and we supplement with more veggie and rice at home. Yum!

Horrible service, long wait times and don't even get me started on their phone system. Why put out a phone number if you're NEVER going to answer it. At least leave a message saying that you do not answer phones during business hours.

Really delicious! We are not local but we found this place and really enjoyed the entrees and the price are very affordable with big servings! Loved the Furikake and garlic chicken! Burgers fries and Mac salad were also good.Kid-friendliness: Burgers are good Mac salad

Would not recommend anymore. I always tell my friends to come here and try it out and we come often to support local. Wont be coming back anymore. Went down today to get food traveled from Westside and while we left heading there we tried to call our order in at 4:10ish. Phone keeps ringing and nobody answering. We called about 20 times if not more. At one point they turned off the phone line so nobody could call (Prob picked up land line and left it open). We arrived at 4:40 and they said they were closed the "OPEN" light was turned OFF (before their closing hours at 5pm). Luckily the door was still open I went inside and tried to order food they said they don't have any food and they closed already. I asked why couldn't they answer the phone and let their customers know you guys are closing or leave a voicemail recording saying closed so nobody wasted their time and money to drive out and support local. All 3 young kids in the place did not care at all. Would hate to be the owner of this. I dont think the owner cares I see now more reviews about how everyone has problems with this place and the workers.Will never support this place again.When I left there was a guy and his friend who also said they came from west side and they both tried to call here a lot and nobody answered and when they came here one of the friend got what ever random food they had and the other guy they didn't have food for him.Answer your phone or dont even have a phone number I dont care how busy you get keep this attitude up you will be closing down the place like every other food location thats getting smashed by inflation/recession.I would rate it 0 stars if yelp allowed.

Fried chicken is always delicious and always is hot. Service is good when I've gone there and I know they are always busy so dont mind the wait for the delicious chicken.
Food is good, especially fried chicken and the spaghetti Mac, service is great quick and respectful. The ambiance is.... Meh but two out of three gets my attention and hungry palate. It's clean just not fancy. I live on the Big Island but when I come to my childhood hometown of Kaneohe it's KJ's.

Everyone raves about the fried chicken here but to me the FURIKAKE CHICKEN is even better than the fried chicken. Deep fried cutlets of juicy chicken with a light sweet chili/teriyaki type of sauce and dusted with furikake is absolute perfection. The big problem with this place is everyone on the windward side knows KJ's is the best. So while I was waiting for my phone order, people were coming in to pickup 25 mini fried chicken bentos, large catering fried chicken orders, and the regular people ordering cheeseburgers and fries or mahi plate or whatever else is on the menu had to wait quite a bit. They don't have a good system to call out your order if you do it by phone. If you order in person, your receipt has an order #. I showed up and paid, and then probably waited 30 minutes from the time I paid til I got it, and I had to tell them I was still waiting. I was hangry by that time but hey, it was worth the wait, even though my order was cold by the time they found it. They need better communication between the kitchen and the front.

Where can you find a loaded plate lunch with the best spaghetti mac for $13-14? It's here at kj's! Known for their fried chicken and nori fried ckn today I strayed and tried a mix plate of spicy bbq ckn and shoyu ckn since they were out of roast pork. The shoyu ckn had star anise which gave it a nice full flavor. Would def get it again. The mega fries are thin crispy fries very good. My hubby likes an old school bbq cheeseburger and that was also a good price at $4.50. One of our fave restaurants on this side of the island

Big assortment to choose for plate lunch. Lines can form but they move quickly so don't be deterred :) My fave thing is their mac salad actually. Would come just to get that. It has bits of tuna and its not elbow mac. But once you have it you won't be able to have it any other way!! Affordable, fast, yummy. Big parking lot - will come back without a doubt! *Furikake Chicken + Hamburger Steak is yumzzzzz
