Recommend if you need a quick and local breakfast! Pancakes are huge! The Portuguese sausage was delicious. Average is about $20 a person but the food quality was great and felt homey.

We were hangry and excited to know there was a pancake house in Kaneohe, so decided to give it a try even tho Google maps said the restaurant was busier than usual. We arrived to find there were only 2 cars on what would typically be a busy peak holiday. Hmm.

We were greeted by a woman chewing food with her mouth open as she pointed to a table and told us to sit (still smacking away on whatever she was eating) and promptly brought us our menus. The menu items seemed very pricey for a restaurant of that caliber so I ordered steak which ended up being comparable to the omelet for around $20..

Atmospheres was grim and all you can hear were the staff in back talking really loud. At one point a server sneezed so loud I thought the windows would blow out then our food arrived. I was thinking, to myself, “God, I hope she covered her mouth”.

Food was served promptly and tasted OK, but def not worth what we paid even with the free side of germs. When we spread butter on his pancake the syrup reacted to the butter like some kind of X-file as if it was alive moving away from the butter. I’ve never seen syrup do that before.

The server must have asked me for more coffee like 6 times even tho it was still full which clearly meant I wasn’t enjoying it.

Then the server let out a loud belch burp in back that echoed in the entire dining room. That’s when we decided to leave. I ended up paying almost $60 too much for a disgusting experience. One customer ahead of us bellowed that he was never coming back there again. I concurred.

Parking: Easy to get in and out.

Found this little hometown diner while looking for lunch on our way to the Polynesian Culture Center. The atmosphere was your typical hometown restaurant vibe with local diners and Christmas music and decor. The service was mixed. Very fast to seat us, take our order and bring our food. And the guy who took our drink order and cleared the table was very friendly. The server who took our order and brought our food may have been having a bad day but she seemed annoyed with our questions about the menu. They wouldn’t let us put Ube pancakes with our combo plate and said we would have to order a separate short stack if we wanted to try them. She seemed irritated when we asked for a bit of extra dressing as well. The prices were typical for other places we have been on Oahu. They did have a good variety on their menu. The food was good. The blueberry pancakes were fluffy and the blueberries were plentiful. The portions were good for the pancakes (3 large) but pretty small amount of Spam and eggs for the price. The chef salad was delicious but also pretty small for the price. Overall I’d still recommend them if you want a local favorite.

Parking: Pretty small lot but right next to a Napa Auto Parts so there may be parking there too.

Great place for breakfast. Tasty food, really good service, prices are just a tad high. Parking is tough, not a lot of spaces, but if you can get one you will have a great meal!

What a quaint place to eat! We were sat right away, food came extremely quick, service was great! My family ordered teriyaki chicken, pan fried fish, an omelet and the lite bite - all was absolutely delicious! We would eat here again in a heart beat.
