It may seem a good price but you have to pay for add ons like furikake, sauce, no napkins, no retroom, no table, overall no good service no good value, and they prompt for tip. No thanks.

We came here because of all the reviews but the truth is that the poke at the grocery stores is better. Not big portions and ok flavor.

Authentic Hawaiian food plus. At reasonable prices. The two of the guys who worked next door at the bicycle rental place recommended Pono Market for "local food."We ordered one Pork Laulau and one Chicken Laulau. This was great food, freshly made. The meat is wrapped in taro lraves and slow cooked for six hours. I thought the leaves tasted like spinach, so that was yummy. We were very happy with our meals.

The poke bowl was delicious and lived up to its reputation.I went there late, so I was disappointed that they didn't have sesame topping.

We came for an early lunch but it seems like we might have gotten here at the wrong time, there was very little in the cooler. I see in other reviews there were pictures of sushi but there was no sushi when we came. The ocean salad was delicious, poke was good, and the steamed taro-wrapped chicken and pork were just ok, pretty pricey for lunch though. There is no seating to eat here, not even a bench outside.

Everything was so delicious and super fresh, especially scallop poke!

The spicy ahi poke is absolutely delicious. Try the ocean salad! The staff were all super friendly. Prices are more than fair for high quality seafood.

Beside the kickback atmosphere and the stellar chow, my wife and I go our marriage license there in 2016 which was crazy and 31 yrs later... never looked back, rock on Pono and Kappa'a beautiful place to be. Sentimental journey for us, still have a bumper sticker that says I got my marriage license at the Pona Market... Luv it !

The Carne Asada burrito is excellent! Can be very busy, so go on off hours to get a quick seat!
Amazing food and so friendly. Family run, definitely a must visit for authentic Hawaiian food at a good price. Baked salmon and poke was amazing.
I shed a little tear of love every time I think about Pono Market. Lots of love to Pono from Nuevo Mexico! <3
Really good Kahlua pork and kimchi. We visited right before Thanksgiving, so the selection was a little thin.
Our favorite place to eat on Kauai for authentic Hawaiian. Take out only.
