This was a very special experience. My family and I made lifelong memories. We can’t thank the performers and staff enough. Five stars all the way.

Kid-friendliness: Provided a high chair and kid food was available

An absolute 5-Star experience from start to finish. From the welcome lei and drink, to the cultural experiences, to local vendors before dinner and the show hand carving items to your specification everything was done first class. Open premium bar all evening and more often than not, you would not have to get up as the servers were all extremely attentive.

The food was incredible. I partook in a number of salads, fried rice, short ribs, huli huli chicken, and the whole roast pig. Pro tip, ask for the cheeks. They also had vegetarian and pescatarian options, including a build your own poke bar.

The performances were incredible and told a beautiful story of the Hawaiian Gods. Highlights were the Aerial Silk dance, Goddess performance with the large parachute dress, and the best fire knife performance I've ever witnessed.

I highly recommend this Luau if you are up in the mid to upper west side of Maui or from other areas if you're up for the drive.

Our family loved this entire event. Greeted by friendly staff. Drinks were free. There were several activities for the kids such as temporary tattoos, ukelele lessons, etc. Family photos were taken and provided without additional cost. Food was excellent and diverse in the selection. Show was very well put together. It is an open-air but fully covered venue. I've never been to a luau before so don't have much else to compare it to, but it was a family favorite of our entire trip.

Had a girls trip to Maui and decided on the Ritz for our luau. Was a great experience. Food was amazing, and the entertainment as well. For those complaining it was inside the pavilion, Maui is windy, so I actually appreciated the calm inside. Would recommend this to everyone, and I for sure will come back

We’ve been to so many, and this was underwhelming in many ways. The food was mediocre, the performance was nothing to write home about and the environment was and indoor humid set up, vs others that are open air with an ocean view. Not trying to be negative, just being honest. I was expecting more considering it’s at the Ritz, but live and learn. Old Lahaina Luau has been my favorite in Maui by far.

Kid-friendliness: Kid options were the plus I’d say. Not every place has kid options like this one.

Start to finish it was an unforgettable experience. There were so many food options, ate way too much! Drinks were great. Staff were very attentive. The show was wonderfully done. Interactive in a good way. Highly recommend the Ritz-Carlton Maui Luau. Worth the price.

Pono Murray, a cultural practitioner and kumu hula (hula teacher), created the lūʻau at the Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua called Tales of the Kapa Moe. The show takes place in the Aloha Garden Pavilion and features authentic Hawaiian chanting and hula, handmade costumes, an aerial performance, and a fire knife dance. I was seated in the first seat closest to the stage as I requested ! Very high production value . Food was first class. VIP seating is the most expensive Luau on the West side , however It is worth the expense for a wonderful Luau experience !

I've been to 5 or 6 luaus in the last 24 years and this was the best luau food I have ever had.

Vegetarian options: Lots of fresh Hawaiian vegetables and fruit.

Parking: Free valet parking included.

It's to bad it's inside a pavilion that looks like a wedding venue. Much prefer outside for a more authentic experience. Who doesn't want to see sunsets and hear waves crashing - hence why we are all in Maui.

With such a beautiful expansive property in Kapalua cannot believe they do this in a pavilion. Great food and gorgeous dancers but lacks in atmosphere at formal tables rather than enjoying the wonderful grounds of Kapalua.

Dietary restrictions: Everything was marked if gluten free, vegetarian or vegan as options

Kid-friendliness: Kids buffet for little ones to dine

We had an absolutely great night here. This is a beautiful and traditional performance from great Hawaiian dancers. It is very entertaining, interesting and sometimes a little interactive.

Everything about this show is great! From the location to the food, service and extras such as the (real) flower lei and cocktails.

Worth the price!
