Amazing, fun, exciting experience! The show was spectacular! Such a great way to spend an evening in Aulani. The food was not bad, they brought a bento box for my daughter so that was great. The drinks were really good and the bartenders were friendly, approachable, and even remembered my drink order after the first time!
I believe you can start making reservations as early as 6 months. We did the preferred seating, your seats are already assigned. Meaning, doesn't matter how early you arrive you won't get a better seat. Seating goes by when you ordered your tickets, so purchase the tickets as soon as possible. We did get front row seats so it worked out. We also did get there early and we're first in line. There are a few activities that take place so getting there early is probably the better idea.

Very disappointed with this Luau. It needed more seafood and a bit of luxury. The entire show is centered around stories and history. It was boring.

If you're seriously staying at The Aulani, and you haven't gotten tickets for the Lu'au, do yourself a favor and GO GET TICKETS NOW!!! Food buffet and open bar drinks were top notch! The show itself was out of this world. And keep an eye out. You may never know which YouTuber you may be sitting next too. Fair warning: THIS IS NOT A DISNEY SHOW!!! DO NOT EXPECT DISNEY CHARACTERS ON STAGE. There's a brief appearance by Mickey and Minnie on stage, but that's it. The show and its performers were amazing! Was the perfect way to wrap up our first visit to Oahu and The Aulani. ALOOOOOOOO-HA!!!

Do not miss out on this experience. It was our first trip to Aulani but I would make this a priority for every visit.

Had a great time at this Lu’au! Was sat at a table full of couples, had a great view of the show! Activities were fun and informative, drinks were yummy (and strong) and included! Dinner buffet was great, and lots to offer. The show is so well done and embraces the Hawaiian culture. Not too Disneyfied

The overall luau experience was great but guest’s arrival and set up could be so much better. The staff, food and show were stunning! Everyone was extremely friendly, the food was very well cooked and seasoned and of course the show was beautiful, as you would expect any Disney service to be. However, when you first arrived you have to join a line where they write your last name on a piece of paper and hand it to you. Once the “gate” opens, you then join another line where at the end a cast member will take the piece of paper from your hand and send you to a table that was pre-assigned based on the first letter of your last name. That process seems a bit unfair to the people who started lining up 30-40 minutes before the show, hoping that they would get good seats. No matter how long you wait in line, if your last name starts with the one of last letters of the alphabet, you may not be assigned anywhere near the stage. All the waiting in line and the seating process doesn’t seem fair or comfortable to guests. However I wouldn’t let this discourage you from going to this luau. Mickey and Minnie will make a quick appearance but this show is solely focused on the beautiful story of the Hawaiian people, and Disney characters/stories are not included. Overall great experience but if you’re a person that is traveling with younger kids or can’t stand for a fair amount of time, I would recommend speaking to a cast member and getting accommodations for the first arrival moments

All you can eat and drink made it one of the best values on the island... as long as you can drink like a champ! The show was not traditional but it was well done in a Disney sort of way.

Luau was good. Activities fun. Food was decent but the bugs and flies are really bad. Literally covered in flies after the food is out after 20 minutes. They need to solve that.

Just a lot of waiting in lines for no reason. Paid for premium seating. So you wait in one line to get a card that says your number of guests then you wait in another line to hand this card to someone else who seats you. This took about 25 minutes. There was no reason to have that first line. Really fun with toddlers in tow and set us up for failure. The show wasn’t very captivating. Lawn activities were totally skippable (even though 4 year old does love her temp tattoo). The food was great and servers were great too. We went to the Toa Luau night before and it blew this one out of the water.

Very upsetting, I was looking forward to trying this place. Thank god for the Marriott!! Only a short walk!! So much better!! Had my checkbook to be DVC member. Unfortunately that will never happen!! They ruined my trip!! Last time I will ever come here!!!

Go for.the atmosphere. Food is OK, some.of.it good. Some.of it unplayable for a southern taste from the southeast. Expensive for a family of six but glad I went. Disney service all the way.
Brought kids plate out first which made adults going to buffet easier. Server came by frequently checking in on us.
Plenty of time for food and they don't start show until 1 hour after food getting starts so you don't have to rush and miss any of the show.
Perfect timing of everything.
Quality is excellent. I'm just not a fan of the kind of foods.

EXTREMELY disappointed. Our Luau was cancelled due to "weather" due to rain that occurred hours before the luau start. The entire duration of the time the luau would've occurred was completely clear skies and nice weather. There was no accommodation or ability to reschedule for THREE WEEKS so we obviously missed what may be a once in a lifetime chance for us. Not only this but we received notice the luau was cancelled TWENTY MINUTES BEFORE THE START TIME, after we were already ready and heading down, again, under completely clear skies. Disney can and should do much better than this for its patrons.
