Kalapawai is always our favorite place to get together with family and friends. The staff at Kapolei are the best. The specials presented last night was delicious.

Seated outside as requested. Service was prompt. Dinner menu offerings were plentiful. Food quality was fantastic, plate presentation was appetizing and tasteful. Great place for reasonable priced meal with excellent food options.

Outstanding food. Wide selection serving varying tastes. We had the Hummus and Pita plate, Duck Confit, Fish Tacos and side risotto. Not a single dish disappointed. Prices were reasonable. Service was on point. While the food was of gourmet quality you would expect that it would be served in a quiet, elegant environment. Not so. The room was industrial, cool and noisey from poor accoustical design. Takeout is always an option.

all the food was SUPERB! The pork chop with mushroom gravy was actually BEAUTIFUL for being a take out order. I couldn't believe how savory the mushroom gravy was, it is soooooo good! They let me sub the grilled squash with roasted potatoes and I also sub the starch for fresh green beans. Just thinkin about that pork chop entree makes my mouth water. My husband ate the entire entree without uttering a word which means he LOVED IT! He is a creature of habit so I know when he says nothing instead of complaining, this means he's loving what he's eating lol lol lol. I had the macaroni &cheese! The texture of the macaroni was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! the only suggestion I have for the chef for the Mac n cheese is to add some BLACK TRUFFLE ZEST and possibly a dash of TRUFFLE SALT. The Mac and cheese is SO GOOD that I actually plan on ordering it REGULARLY! Now their LILIKOI CHEESE CAKE is OUTSTANDING! the slice is HUGE and even though it cost $9, I think it's enough for 2 people to share so WELL WORTH the cost! The only thing that'll prevent me from eating at KALAPAWAI frequently is the cost. It was pricey BUT the food is all fresh, home made tasting, arranged well so fur this quality of food, it isn't low cost! Please don't let this deter you from enjoying this restaurant! KALAPAWAI DELI serves really good food! Please go there when you eat great food!

A great selection of items on the menu! There is something here for everyone. I ordered the club sandwich with greens for myself and a peperoni pizza for my toddler. It was fresh and tasty. They put a significant amount of black pepper on the pizza though, so if you're ordering this for young children, I would recommend requesting no pepper as it was overpowering for my 3 year old.
Only go when Chef Ashley is cooking. The other chef consistently buggers up the food.

I stopped by for ToGo food in the past and had a great experience for my first time. So I decided to come back to get my son a salad on Tuesday, September 1st, 2024 and was not impressed. I guess this is the day all Chefs and Managers are off due to the bad quality of my sons salad. My son basically had a stem salad which I needed to clean myself. I recommend to go only during weekends and busy hours.

It's a great place to come grab a bite. It doesn't matter if you're with family, friends, or meeting someone for the first time. Prices are reasonable. The food is great. Parking...can suck but it's not their fault. I've honestly never had a hard time finding a spot, but I've been fortunate. I highly recommend this place. My wife and I have been coming for years.
