We had a wonderful experience at Kalapawai Cafe & Deli - Kapolei! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, friendly, and attentive. Everyone there took great care of us throughout our visit. The food was exquisite! It was flavorful, hearty, and generously portioned. Every dish we ordered was satisfying and beautifully presented. The peaceful, quiet atmosphere (it was a Monday night) made it easy to talk, relax, and truly enjoy the meal. Our server checked in often...
We love this place and we frequent it often. This week we came once for lunch and dinner. But, this was the first time that the kitchen was very different. We usually get our food too fast but this time, we were done with our drinks when the appetizer came and then dinner took another 35-40 minutes. This is not the norm for this place and totally unacceptable. It was busy in the restaurant but we've seen it much busier many times and the food came out much faster than tonight....
We love Kalapawai! Always the best dishes with the most unique delicious flavors. Really enjoyed this night's special (NY Steak with Gorgonzola sauce and bacon cheese risotto). Definitely wish it was a normal menu item.
