Mekiko Cantina

Mekiko Cantina is a must stop whenever we’re in the area particularly for happy hour! Be sure to try their carne asada street tacos and salsa flights. The food is consistently good and their service is even better!

One of the best vegan taco places I haven ever visited. My keikis and I love it. Definitely come back next time to this place. The only down side is the parking lot. Overall, it’s a good place to eat.

The food was good, but we waited almost 2 hours. We were told a 45 minute wait. Then the food was slow. Classic Hawaiin restaurant flaw. Not adopt any of the reservations or online waitlist and just waste people’s precious vacation time. Food was actually good but not worth the experience.

Been here a few times. Love the food and the service. This time, we had Jennifer who was one of the best servers we have had anywhere and we eat out a lot! She made the night an awesome one.

I would highly suggest to give this place a visit and maybe you'll be lucky enough to get Jenn!

This place is awesome! The environment and the staff were so nice not to mention the food was amazing! Jenny the owner was so nice and welcoming and Sal did everything he could for us while we were here. Couldn’t be more appreciative of them! Thank you for the great experience and next time we’re in Hawaii we will be back!

Came for lunch with our 8 month old. We sat outside next to the beautiful golf course, our server Jennifer was extremely kind and helpful. I had the birria tacos and my wife had the pollo enchiladas, both of us were saying this could be the best Mexican we've ever had. Great price for the amount of food as well. Highly recommended!

We ordered one of the kids asada quesadilla and will feed 2 kids. Can't go wrong with 3 birria tacos. Great taste!! A lil disappointed. I thought salsa would come with it, but it was not. Small cup of salsa $4 charged. I forgot we're in Hawaii..

Honestly not sure what is so great about this place. My opinion overpriced food and drinks. The fish was extremely dry but the guacamole and salsa were very good especially the chips. Other than that nothing special about this place.

If there’s one reason to dine at Mekiko Cantina it’s the Birria Tacos - marinated beef contained within corn tortillas. Each are grilled on the flat top with a blend of three cheeses… served crispy with a delicious smoky consomé (the juice from the birria beef). These tacos were épic! Absolutely delicious and worth the visit to Mekiko. The guacamole and two salsa flight was also superb… the guacamole was prepared to order, chunky and flavorful. We added a side of Mexican rice and refried beans - both delicious. My wife and I joked that there was someone’s grandmother cooking in the kitchen as all the food was so delicious. I also want to give Courtney behind the bar… she served up marvelous drinks (piña coladas!!) and controlled the flow of food and drinks with confidence and a smile! Thank you! A definite must visit restaurant when in the Ko Olina area!

I went in to kill time and had 2 beers and the waitress had her nerve to charge me a kitchen fee 😡 The kitchen had nothing to do with opening 2 fricken beers! By the way the table was dirty so I wiped it myself. I should’ve charged the establishment for cleaning service
