Ice cream is the unique part of Hawaiian shaved ice and the reason I was looking forward to getting shaved ice here! Unfortunately their freezer for the ice cream has been broken since we arrived 3 days ago (probably longer). I asked when it would be fixed and they have no ETA. Get it fixed!! Or just go to Costco and get a new one!!!

Yummy frozen treat while at the resort. Very large portion that was shareable with a family of four (two adults, two toddlers), and convenient to the poolside at the resort. Also right by the Lava Shack for some souvenir shopping and viewing windows for the Rainbow Reef.
Kid-friendliness: As long as you don't mind the sugar rush, kids love this!

I don’t get the hype about shave ice.. it is just crushed ice with artificial flavoured syrup - not my taste and way too expensive for the quality you get.
The Mikey Mouse shaved ice was a great idea and was actually pretty cool to see in person. The flavor was delicious, and the ice was soft crunchy. The only issue was that not all Mickey Ears would come out great looking.

This is the primary Hawaiian shave ice location at the resort. It is located right in the middle amongst the pool and water rides. The ice itself was fine. There are a good amount of syrup options. Personally it isn't my favorite thing, but it's worth a try if you haven't had it before.

The shave ice was huge and enough for 3 people to share. I paid $1 extra for them to make it into a Mickey shape, but worth it for sheer cuteness. There are better shave ice places on the island, but this was just easy when having a resort day. I got lychee, coconut, and mango flavor with a condensed milk drizzle.

Mainly went for the mickey shaped shave ice, the shave ice was good but the disappointing part was the girl working, she was the only unfriendly employee we encountered during our entire stay at aulini, not even trying to be friendly as we ordered.
