Straight A's. Needed to pull a rabbit out of the hat after a trip to Maui became ill fated. We couldn't be more pleased. Gentle guidance at every turn from a staff that personified the Aloha spirit. I can't see a physical appeal to that part of Kapolei, but the facilities charm androom comfort more than made up for it. Our little dog was welcome, the breakfast was delicious. A return is definitely on my wish list. Come and enjoy. You won't be disappointed.

Residence Inn Kapolei has the best staff ever. Karaoke Sundays are always busy and fun. Awesome rooms and be on the look out for their full Moon Market events that happens every couple of months. The full Moon Market has 100s of vendors selling food and merchandise.

Thank you to Stephanie at the front desk who assisted our family in making sure we were comfortable after a fairly exhausting day! The hotel is clean, new, and provides a lot of fun things that we were not expecting. Karaoke and food trucks, as well as spacious rooms and complimentary breakfast. It was our first time staying here and we hope we can stay again. :)

Had my nieces graduation party there. We carter's available they had a spacious kitchenette across the hallway in the event area. Good seating and the staff was great. The event room is on the ground level by the pool, an outdoor seating area they corded off for us to use and restrooms there easy access. We had a great time. Good location to Makakilo up the road and Kapolei on a private lane near major roadway.Nearby activities: Food trucks were outside, that guest can get local freshly cooked food. Major coffee shop and convenience store a couple of minutes next to the innFood & drinks: They have a quiet bar as well.

This review about your system.stop spam!I recently embarked on a 14-day stay at the Marriott Hotel with my fiancé, hoping for a romantic and enjoyable vacation. However, I must express my deep disappointment with the overall experience, which has not only failed to meet my expectations but has also put our relationship at risk.Firstly, I received a spam voice message on the room phone. I was invited to the welcome center, only to find out that I had to provide my ID and credit card. The problem was, I had left everything except my phone in the room, so this created a major inconvenience for me.To add insult to injury, the hotel staff pressured me to download their app, which I found to be an unnecessary hassle and a significant source of stress. Instead of enjoying a romantic vacation with my fiancé, we ended up constantly arguing and getting closer to a separation. The hotel's lack of consideration for their guests' needs was truly disheartening.I must also mention the room itself, which was located in the basement. I sarcastically want to thank the hotel for assigning us a room that felt like a basement, because it perfectly matched the overall terrible experience.Furthermore, I want to address the Marriott IT specialist. Your app was filled with simple bugs that caused nothing but frustration and inconvenience. It's baffling that a hotel of this caliber would have such poorly developed technology. I strongly urge you to fix these issues immediately to avoid subjecting future guests to the same dreadful experience.Another significant problem that overshadowed our entire stay was the constant disturbance caused by overhead flights. The hotel is located in an area where flights frequently pass over, releasing fuel for safety landings. Unfortunately, this means that whenever we were outside, whether swimming or relaxing by the pools, we were subjected to the unpleasant experience of fuel dropping on us. This hazardous situation not only compromised our safety but also left us feeling incredibly uncomfortable and violated.Adding to the distress, the incessant noise from military flights exacerbated an already overwhelming atmosphere. The constant sound of aircraft roaring overhead became a persistent nuisance, making it impossible to find peace or enjoy a moment of tranquility during our stay. The lack of respite from this intrusive noise pollution only added to our growing frustration and disappointment. In conclusion, I would never recommend staying at the Marriott Hotel based on my horrendous experience. This vacation become in complete disaster, and I can only hope that by sharing my review, others will be spared from enduring the same ordeal.Suggestion - disconnect your room phone right away. Trust me, you don’t need their discounts.

I was blessed by a relative who paid for my stay. I was surprised by the entire atmosphere of the place. Everything from room service, breakfast, front desk, housekeeping, the pool area, live music, BBQ area was excellent.Rooms: The rooms were surprisingly spacious. I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. One room with a King Bed and the other room with a Queen Bed.

When we got bumped from our flight and notified the hotel that we were arriving 2 days later than our original arrival date, our original rate was not honored. We were charged way more per night, no consideration given for something that was not our fault. Prior to arriving at the hotel I called on 3 separate occasions to make sure I had a clear understanding of their pet fee since this was the first time we traveled with our pet. I was told the pet fee was $150. One of the times that I called I was routed to the corporate Marriott number and they put me on hold and called the hotel directly to also confirm the pet fee, they were told the same thing. Upon check in I was told the pet fee was $150. When I checked out, I was charged $300 pet cleaning fee PLUS $40 per night pet fee. I called to dispute the charges as I thought this was a mistake. I explained to the manager how many times I asked about the pet fee. She was rude, unprofessional and kept cutting me off as I tried explaining. DeeDee said, "NOPE NOPE, no one called...there would have been a note on the reservation if someone called." I assured her I did in fact call as well as the corporate offices called. She said, no one called. I asked her if she was calling me a liar, she said I am telling you I am not adjusting the fee. I asked to speak to her manager and she said Paul would call me. I followed up with a call to corporate. They were so shocked by the exorbitant pet fees. They sent an email to the general manager to contact me. They also said that Paul was not the manager and that Tiffany should be contacting me. It is almost a month after this incident and after numerous attempts to get this resolved, I still have not heard from the general manager. As a Platinum Elite Bonvoy member I have stayed at many Marriott brand hotels and this was by far the worst situation I have ever encountered. I am so disappointed in Marriott and no resolution to this. Read the other reviews about management here and save yourself the headache. Go to the Embassy Suites a block away. The hotel is nicer, the staff is helpful and friendly and the breakfast is much better.

[Courteous only by words and housekeeping service available only 2 times a week with 4 hour cleaning window]UPDATE: spoke to the manager why I could not get my room cleaned on Thursday during regularly scheduled cleaning day. The manager said my room was not cleaned during the 4-hour cleaning window due to no request for cleaning. Come on Marriott, 4 hour cleaning window of which you clean only 2 days out of 7 days during vacation season? Is this true? Regardless, i am never coming back here, but be warned. Service here is almost non-existent unless you abide by the strict regular service window. There certainly is disregard from employees for guests who have non-regular requests such as cleaning outside of the 4 hour daily cleaning window and willing-to-pay to stay extra couple of hours due to sick child in bed, of all the instances which happens quite often for travelers with family members.I have stayed over 50 times at Residence inn at various parts of the world over more than 20 years, but this place at Hawaii Kapolei is by far the worst in terms of customer care. The front desk is courteous only by mouth and words. They seem like they care by words, but when things need attention, they go back to their "we only care about our priority members."I had a sick child and i asked repeatedly if we can stay an extra 1-2 hours on the day of check out (called at 5:19am to be exact and check out is at 11am), they basically told us we do not care enough to provide late check out as their priority members are only allowed late check out due to full booking.I understand that they need to provide preferential service for their "priority members," but if there is a need to provide care for guests in need who paid almost $400 per night for 4 nights with a sick child who will be flying 5 hours late in the afternoon, I should receive extra care instead of being provided with "unfortunately it is policy and only our priority members are allowed." I am not going to pay $200 (half day rate) to stay extra couple of hours when I can get a full night stay near the airport. You lost a customer who stays at Residence inn for all family vacations and some business trips over 20 years. This is not the first time I had issues with customer service at Residence Inn, but I endured because of convenience for families and having a full kitchen during a week-long business trip. Also, I am not sure why they do not have a full housekeeping staff during busy vacation season, but I had no housekeeping service for my entire 4 nights and 5 days stay here. I had to call the front desk each time I needed towels, toiletries, and trash pick up, and I had dirty bed sheets (from 3 beach trips and activities for 4 people), which was never replaced for the two queen beds and a sofa bed for my family. I intend to deal with this situation fully with Marriott corporate.Residence Inn at Kopolei, you need to do a better job of accommodating non-priority member guests and have ample operations to provide basic hotel service during your busiest vacation season. It does not matter if the facility is new and well cared for (I give 5 stars for facilities conditions), but operating a hotel service at $400 dollars a night should be MUCH better than this.

Upon check in, 3rd in line, a phone call came in to the employee working, apparently irate at not being able to get a replacement key card without providing a photo ID. The employee was kind yet firm. Over and over. Very profressional in a difficult situation. Following that phone call she apologized to each subsequent client, for the wait and interruption. Thus began our stay at this establishment. The room was upgraded. The suite was very clean. Breakfast was lovely. Mahalo to Aunty Deedee and Tiana for all you do.

My husband and I stayed at the residence in for over a month and the service was absolutely outstanding. The rooms were spacious and very clean. They also included a whole kitchen, which was very useful! The environment at the hotel was extremely friendly, lively, and always had activities to do! I especially found that the front desk agents. Jasmine and Ashley were always so helpful to all of our needs especially Rodney a room attendant! They were awesome. I highly recommend this hotel for short and long stays!

Overall a nice hotel but a couple of issues. We were put in an accessible room which isn’t the nicest as the shower etc. is different and kind of cheaper feeling. There was mold in the shower and room cleaning was inconsistent so garbage piled up. The worst part was the breakfast. It was the same every day - when we checked in they said here’s the rotating breakfast menu, but then it was the same every day! Eggs and 2 types of sausages, waffles, toast, and rice. There were really limited options for a vegetarian and it was just kind of sad and gross. You had to ask for peanut butter they keep it in the kitchen for some reason. Usually Marriott breakfasts are pretty nice but this was the worst one I’ve ever seen, so kind of a letdown. There’s also a $30 per night charge for parking and a $30 per night destination fee. Overall it adds up and you’re better off just staying at a nicer hotel, this one is not worth the money.

The hotel was very clean and staff was excellent. Tiana at the front desk was great. Her help with selecting places to eat, doing laundry and assisting me with extending my room because I had a late flight. She is one of the reasons I will go back. The room was comfortable clean and had everything I needed for my week long stay. Bathroom is beautiful and bed was awesome. I give tiana and hotel 5 stars. Mahalo for a great stay! James lum

We live on the island of Oahu, but decided to get away for the weekend to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. We decided to stay at the Residence in Kapolei Oahu and had a wonderful time. The hotel is in a great location, near Raising Canes, 7-Eleven, and Starbucks, which are all within walking distance of the hotel. About a mile and a half away is the Ka Makana Ali’i mall. The front desk staff was very courteous and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and clean. The only thing I can say about the room is the pillows were a little too soft for my taste. I like them a little firmer, but that is a very minor issue. The free breakfast is delicious. It comes with a buffet that offers scrambled eggs, choices of meat , make your own toast or waffles, fruits, cereals, and fruit juices, and coffee. The hotel had a special going on for local residents so we took advantage of that package. We used the gym equipment on both days but didn’t have a chance to use the pool. Unfortunately, we forgot to leave a tip for our housekeeper upon check out. I ended up calling the hotel to see if I could get the name of the housekeeper who cleaned our room after we checked out I was told her name is Abby. So, Abby, I will be stopping by one day to bring you a little something for your hard work. Thank you to all the staff at the Residence Inn Kapolei Oahu for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back again. I highly recommend this hotel,

Patricia
