We requested our ribeye to be medium rare. What we got was closer to a very medium, so more hard and dry. Comparing this ribeye to a recent lunch we had a week or two ago that was cooked to perfection and a melt in your mouth quality. The meat that we received tonight seemed to be of a lesser quality and overcooked. The lobster tails were very fishy tasting, small and didn't look appetizing. The noodles should be eliminated from the set items. 2 of 5 in our party had a sore stomach after arriving at home. The waitress was attentive making sure our needs were met with refills, etc. It will be a long while before our next visit. Tonight was disappointing.Parking: Lots of parking close to restaurant.

We've been a couple times now and it's been consistently awesome. This last time, our hibachi chef cut the steak and vegetables smaller for my toddlers, and did some extra "magic" for them which they loved. The veggies are some of the best I've ever had, same for the calamari.Kid-friendliness: I think the chefs enjoy watching the kids' faces light up in wonder. Also they were great about clean up. I always clean up after my kids (I have toddlers and don't ever expect others to clean up after my kids) , but our waitress said not to worry and took away all the napkins when I tried a second time to try and tidy under the high chair. Never thought being told, don't clean I've got it would make me tear up.

The overall experience was very pleasant, although it does run a bit pricey for a single meal, the service and food are exceptional. They use good quality fish for all their sushi, the service was a bit slower for my liking however it was made up for how kind the staff are. The place looks clean at a glance and each area is nicely sectioned.

We sat at the sushi bar and sushi chef Yama was amazing. He is a true artist and professional. His signature roll was delicious, a smile in every bite. The presentation of our sashimi platter was the most creative I've ever seen. Best sushi on island.

Will give this place a solid four! Could even go higher, though... Anyway, this is not where you go for an intimate dinner. This is where you come to interact and have a little fun. I live in the San Francisco Bay area and we know Benihana there. This ain't Benihana, this place is much more fun. Food was above average and I was happy to know that they also give you chow mein. The quality of meat seemed to be above average as well. Prices are fair at around $28-$30. Most of the chefs bring a little boombox out, and if you're up for it, they will, give you a little music to rock to. Additionally, if you're willing, they will give you as much sake as you can swallow. The bar was also nice and Darren the bartender knows his stuff. We came as two so we couldn't make reservations, but the wait was only around 15 minutes. Have fun.

My experience was Tony was an amazing hibachi chef! He really made my bday really special.

We did a takeout meal but we weren't too impressed. Not sure if it was an off night considering the several good reviews it has received, maybe we just need to eat at the restaurant. Didn't have far to go since we were in the hotel across the way by the mall. We had a chicken hibachi dish but the chicken tasted a bit mealy and the miso soup that came with the meal was a bit on the salty side. Meh....

Enjoyed dinner last night at Sakura Teppanyaki at the Kamakana Ali'i Shopping Center Kapolei. Great Service, lots of dining seating, and delicious choices. We had the VIP Special dinner for two $69.99 with Rib Eye Steak, Shrimp, Calamari, & Chicken. Side dishes of noodles, vegetables salad, rice, & miso soup. Very delicious & ended with some chocolate ice cream for dessert. Friendly staff that's always making sure your glass of water is filled and if you need or have any questions. We were told that if you want, you can have the chef cook in front of you, they have two chefs, reservations are recommended for 5 or more guests. The chef can only cook for 10 people within the seating. All in all great ambiance to relax, have great food and spend time after a long day.

Sakura Kapolei is by far the BEST, outstanding services, our order was perfect in taste and portion and the presentation was amazingly beautiful, the ambiance was perfect, relaxing, and entertaining all around!! Highly recommend to everyone!!!
