First time and it was so awesome. Everything was great. Just wish the menus were so heavy .

The service from Marti was topnotch! She was attentive and engaging. The food, however could be improved. The Brussels were overcooked and presentation of the food could be better - it was just “thrown” into a dish and saturate it with soy sauce and vinegar. The adobo loco moco and Benedict were ok - nothing spectacular, maybe a little too salty for our taste. There is a 4% Kitchen Appreciation Fee (?) on top if the tip. Not too keen about this but all the best. Hope they do well.

My table got everything to share, so I am able to say every meal was delicious! They all have their own unique twist on classical dishes. The chicken pot pie was served like a gumbo with rice, but had an amazing puff pastry on top. The chicken and waffles was served with argula and pickled onions which gave it a tangy flavor that mixed nicely with the sweet and spicy waffle. The ribs were pretty classic but also delicious and the steak was a unique appetizer that i enjoyed!

The food was pricey for what it was, and was just ok, the flavor was a bit bland. The abalone strips were thin and only tasted of garlic, the Cajun loco moco just tasted like pepper. Everything was one note.
The drinks were phenomenal, and garnished nicely.
The service was not good at all for us, the woman seemed to brush us off and I didn’t even have time to ask questions when she dropped off my drink. The busser was kind and took better care of us!
The atmosphere is nice and modern. It seems like this is where all the focus went. They need to invest in their people and chef not the surface.
There was no changing station in the restroom
Kid-friendliness: No place to change a diaper!?!

If you want to know why your Southern food didn't taste good or why they "ran out" of everything, I literally saw the head chef in tears as he was watching a Rachel Ray tutorial on how to make fried chicken. Lmao.

I’m so excited to stop by here and get the spicy chicken and waffles because I’ve been craving for it for years and here is my chicken over cook it was biter. There is 2 ladies cleaning the table next to out table and I mentioned if I can have another chicken. I waited for a while and no one came back and so I decided to walk to the manager’s and the 2 other ladies that was cleaning saw me coming and they where shocked because they forgot to mention about the food. The manager took care of it getting new chicken. I ask to just take it to go because the rest of my family is done eating. Anyways the manager offer free desert but I said I don’t need it. I was so upset. Can’t blame me I was craving for years for this.

Outstanding service from John followed by an array of savory and delicious plates. The Loco Moco with the pork adobo is the best I have ever had!!!! Anything but traditional, the deconstructed gumbo pot pie is savory and tender with just the right touch of spice.

Will not return unless they figure out their service. We were seated at the high top tables and waited for 20 minutes. Not one greeting as all employees continued to walk by. I approached the bar to ask if we had a waitress or if we had to order at the bar and the woman said, “oh it will be a while before I can place any food orders for you because I have a lot drinks to make.” She then turned away from me and my party left. She in fact did not have that many customers in yet, all the drinks were for customers who were after us in line, I came to her to place my order and blatant disregard for me as a paying customer - do not waste your time or money. She did save me from paying a crazy high amount for food that is not “brunch” friendly. Limited selection.

I ordered a loco moco and the hamburger had no taste at all. It didn’t even taste like they added any seasoning to the beef patty, they just threw the patty on the grill and called it a day. The garlic rice didn’t taste like garlic at all. I had to throw on pepper, hot sauce and salt to add flavor to my meal. Very disappointed!
This place is over hyped and over priced. I would not recommend it to my family or friends.

The Gumbo was the bomb. Wife got the shrimp grits. Not bad, but gumbo was better.

We were second in line, came in right at opening. Hostess didn’t look happy to be there & moved really slowly. Every one of our 5 dishes had no flavor. Soda was flat. They didn’t have any straws. Overall junk. We should’ve just ate at Koa’s next door.

Service was not great but I'm willing to overlook this if the food is good. Unfortunately the eggs benedict was not good at all. Hollandaise sauce was gross (tasted like the store bought package) and the eggs overcooked. I was willing to give it another try and again food was not good. The bread pudding was the most disappointing. Found it to have little flavor and very dry. I won't be going back for a third try.

Oh my, we had some amazing gumbo today with our favorite...a side of brussel sprouts. We always enjoy a plantation iced tea along with our meal. Our servers were all excellent and we sure enjoyed ourselves.
