The service from Marti was topnotch! She was attentive and engaging. The food, however could be improved. The Brussels were overcooked and presentation of the food could be better - it was just “thrown” into a dish and saturate it with soy sauce and vinegar. The adobo loco moco and Benedict were ok - nothing spectacular, maybe a little too salty for our taste. There is a 4% Kitchen Appreciation Fee (?) on top if the tip. My table got everything to share, so I am able to say every meal was delicious! They all have their own unique twist on classical dishes. The chicken pot pie was served like a gumbo with rice, but had an amazing puff pastry on top. The chicken and waffles was served with argula and pickled onions which gave it a tangy flavor that mixed nicely with the sweet and spicy waffle. The ribs were pretty classic but also delicious and the steak was a unique appetizer that i enjoyed!
The food was pricey for what it was, and was just ok, the flavor was a bit bland. The abalone strips were thin and only tasted of garlic, the Cajun loco moco just tasted like pepper. Everything was one note.
The drinks were phenomenal, and garnished nicely.
