Best sushi we had! There is a reason the locals all go here!!

packed and busy dine-in, high quality and volume of food at great prices, long wait due to small restaurant size, but the wait is absolutely worth it

Great little sushi place in Kapolei. Comparable to other local on-demand sushi spots, Sushi Bay has great food, service time, and seating when we went. The selection isn't quite as large as some others, and a few items were just a little lacking, but still great. Would visit again. Mahalo

Lunch with family & cousins for a group of eight. Host made sure we would be comfortable and placed us in side by side booths to still be close together. Portions were absolutely worth the price especially when we could still share. Our host did give us a heads we would be getting a server still in training and politely asked for us to be patient. We were able to eat without being rushed and talk story and catch up.

As far as pricing and portion, you can't go wrong. 5 dishes and I'm so full. I always get the garlic hamachi and spicy hamachi. They even sold out of spicy hamachi while I was dining in, good thing I ordered mine before it was out. Service can get slow because of how busy it is. They get out the dine in orders and take out orders as fast as they can. Because of this, when I closed my check, I ordered take out and I was waiting for my takeout order for a while. Turns out it was waiting for me at the take out counter. The server was supposed to bring it to me but I saw her serving tables and she was busy. They do close early though. If you're willing to wait for a while to dine in, you won't leave hungry. Call ahead for take out and make sure to pick it up when they say it's ready so you can eat your food fresh.

*Overall review: Waiting time for weekend lunch is 40-50 minutes. Ingredients are fresh and plentiful. Seasoned food is okay, but I recommend eating it as sashimi or sushi. 100% intention to revisit

There aren't many seats at the restaurant, but it's popular so the wait is long. There are a lot of take out orders as well.
Come with miso soup or hot tea before ordering!
I waited a long time, but it was great value for money, it was delicious, and the food came out quickly!
I was surprised that the sashimi was 2-3 times the size of other places, and the fish was so fresh that it melted in your mouth. Highly recommended!
What was disappointing was that the Spicy Ahi don had a strong sesame oil taste, so it was a bit greasy.
I recommend ordering mainly sushi or sashimi where you can taste fresh ingredients rather than seasoned ones :)

-Hamachi Sashimi $8.95
-Salmon Sashimi $8.95
-Spicy Ahi Don $12.95
-Dynamite Roll $7.95
-Soft-shell Crab $7.95

I have been going here on and off for several years. I find the quality is not as good as it used to be. My most recent visit, the rice was soggy and the tuna in the roll was not a plentiful. Overall a fast dining option if you go right at open, dining alone or go during off hours. The service is friendly and fast. They have a sign in sheet during busy hours.

Wife got done with her colonoscopy procedure so she was starving. We wanted to eat sushi and this was our first time ever coming here. Reviews were good so we said why not. This is one of the best sushi places we’ve ever been to. Also better than Kan’s Sushi in Waikiki. Service was awesome, food came out quick, and the staff are so friendly. Sushi in our opinion was fresher than other sushi restaurants and the sushi rolls were bigger, especially the unagi. This will be our go to sushi restaurant from now on!

Takeout orders begin at 10:30am, and eat-in begins at 11am. I arrived at 10:20am and there were 6 groups in front of me. I got in right after 11am. The pieces are big and delicious. Depending on the number of people, some people may not be very friendly, but generally they are friendly. It's best to come early as there can be a long wait. The toilet is outside at the back, and if you ask the staff for the code, they will tell you the code.
