Best ramen on the island. I get the spicy creamy vegan. My fiance always gets spicy tanaka and in his words it's "always money." The place is small and it's cute but there's not enough room to have privacy and intimacy (that's hawaii real estate tho!) Bonus: They have hot sake! The service as always been just-enough-to-keep-us-from-complaining. There's always room for potential, but I recommend this place.

This place I recommend to my family because it looked great online. I absolutely love ramen and try it in every city I go too. The food tasted okay. I would have given this more stars, but me and my husband got food poisoning. The pork did not seemed cooked and was not flavorful. I wanted to like this place but be prepared to possibly get food poisoning.

What made this review so bad is our waitress sucked. Every response was "yeah", no friendliness, nothing. Never checked on us and was overall rude. I wish we had the girl who brought us our food, as our waitress. Also, the food was bland. Never going to another Tanaka Ramen shop again.

The food is mediocre at best. Very disappointing. Asked about the hot sauce for ramen thinking it was the Japanese paste, I was wrong. It was sriracha chili for ramen…. The ramen was so bland and nothing stood out. Karage overcooked and dry. Oysters were dark brown from being over cooked. Soft shell crab was nothing special. Stay very far away if you don’t want to be disappointed.

ONE OF THE BEST RAMEN PLACES

We got a make your own ramen and got the level 2 spice level. Best choice I've made. One of the best ramens I got in Hawaii on my vacation. It was amazing. The atmosphere was pretty friendly and our food was out pretty quickly too. It's just PERFECTION. Now this next one is the pov of someone else. I shared with my sister with the same ramen and it was perfect. We finished in 25 min. And it was just enough for us to finish.

Junk junk ramen this is Chinese style not Japanese. Broth was too salty and noodles over cooked. Never going here again and this is ccp run by a barmaid looking girl from PRC. No way she had capital to open all these locations probably has a ATM cash cow on the side or comes from wealth. She has three restaurants on the mainland. We no need these foreigners coming here setting up shop to fund their vacation home
