I ate here twice. I’m good tbh… just be aware & observe your food. That’s all I have to say.

Ala location is better. Food is good, as sitting there to eat the restaurant started to smell of sewage.
When you enter it’s nice decor very clean, very quiet, small restaurant, not that inviting for people with kids in my opinion, the menu was small, no kids menu, pricey in my opinion ,ramen ya and shiros is definitely a better option..staff is nice and kept up with refilling our water.
Visited this place twice and enjoyed it both times. Their menu suggests a recommended extra topping for each ramen, which I think is worth the extra 2 dollars or so. The first time, I had a chicken soup ramen with wontons and chili oil (the extra topping). I enjoyed the wontons and the fried onions. The spicy ramen went well with the calpico drink I got, which was sweet with a yoghurt flavor. The second time, I had calamari appetizer with spicy mayo, and the tanaka classic ramen with parmesan cheese powder (the extra topping). It had a very creamy tonkotsu broth with char siu pork and lots of fried onions as well. The cheese mostly sank to the bottom of the soup but that was alright. The food is on the salty side but quite delicious overall. Had a strawberry ramune with that, which is a soda with a marble covering the top.
Everything was super! Definitely 5 star. Highly recommend 👍
Really good
Great ramen... QQ
Tanaka is an amazing place to try if you are looking for a quality ramen restaurant. I don’t think there were any significant downsides other than the interesting atmosphere. But the food was incredible, the ramen was terrific, and the shrimp was on point. I couldn’t recommend it more; this is a must-stop!
Easily overlooked among the shops, restaurants, and offices in Kapolei, this hidden gem serves up some fantastic ramen and curry. I ordered the pork katsu curry bowl and was met with pure deliciousness—a perfectly golden, crispy pork tenderloin atop fluffy white rice, all smothered in rich, flavorful curry. Just thinking about it makes me hungry again! Don’t miss out—treat yourself to this amazing spot.

We love there bowls that separate the soup and noodles from getting soggy.

Best ramen on the island. I get the spicy creamy vegan. My fiance always gets spicy tanaka and in his words it's "always money." The place is small and it's cute but there's not enough room to have privacy and intimacy (that's hawaii real estate tho!) Bonus: They have hot sake! The service as always been just-enough-to-keep-us-from-complaining. There's always room for potential, but I recommend this place.

This place I recommend to my family because it looked great online. I absolutely love ramen and try it in every city I go too. The food tasted okay. I would have given this more stars, but me and my husband got food poisoning. The pork did not seemed cooked and was not flavorful. I wanted to like this place but be prepared to possibly get food poisoning.
