West Side Bar & Grill

After a long day of traveling we came here exhausted and starving. The atmosphere was nice, service was amazing and the food was excellent. We got the steak, garlic ship and the west side burger. Everything was delicious, we ate it all up!!!

The first impression was the extremely loud music, this wasn't live music it was playing out of speakers. You could barely hear people talking or our waiter. Next we asked for 2 waters and the water tastes like dirt. We got our food and the food did not taste good. It lacked flavor and something was off with it. Needless to say the next day we both got food poisoning and this ruined our last few vacation days in Hawaii. I don't recommend this place for anyone.

Ordered the Pupu Platter take out, they told me 15-20 minutes but actually waited 20 more minutes when I got there. There was Pipikaula shortribs, Crispy Pork Belly and Garlic Chicken in the platter, paid for 3 sides of rice which looked like only 2 scoops, and crispy Calamari. The Pipikaula had an off taste, my son thought it was spoiled, the pork belly was mostly fat and the Calamari was overcooked and dry. We lived in Hawaii all our lives and recently moved to the mainland. Came back for a visit and someone recommended this place. We all (4 of us) had diarrhea the next day. Needless to say we will not return nor recommend this place to any of our Ohana.

Hands down one of the best places my family have been to in the island 🏝️. Do not be deceived by this place or the location. It literally blows the doors off any fancy restaurant around ! The server / bartender Steph is ☝️ ONE packed gal full of delight and skills. She will not disappoint & neither will this place.

Good food and price and good service

So the poke nachos and kalib steak was so good! My server was sweet and my drink was fantastic. I loved hearing live music on that Friday night. I really enjoyed there, I will be back

THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING!!!! PRICES ARE UNJUSTIFIABLE!!!
We have come here twice. First time we walked in and walked out. Even though they were open they said they had one cook and they are not open. The second time we came, the same drunk men who where there when we first came in were there. Wouldn’t leave us alone to have family time. There was only one cook so food was gonna take along time. They were out of a list of things on their menu. The bar was nasty, the floor was sticky. We cancelled and left. We will never be back here again. This place needs bar rescue, to clean their bar up, and find more people to operate if they want to get more customers. I am sure this place won’t last long.

We ended up going here for dinner because of the reviews mentioning big portions and good food; selection of food was great but for how much you get not worth the price - I hate to post this review because service was outstanding but for those that use reviews like me thought I’d mention portions are not big

Great food (and huge portions), even better service and good vibes. My husband got the kalua pork nachos and I got the poke nachos. We both walked away happy and stuffed. Prices are reasonable, too. We will definitely be back.

I did not eat but everyone seemed to enjoy their food. The menu is typical for Island culture. The drinks are reasonably priced and the bartenders are nice. They now have live music which gets the place jumping in the evening!
