'Ono Fish & Shrimp Truck

Everything is fire, love the steak and shrimp.

Food was delicious - we had shrimp tacos and steak/garlic plate. Probably the best garlic shrimp we’ve had living in the islands for the past two years. The steak was also great. The “chips” are potato wedges versus French fries. Just an important note when dining with kids.

LOVED the spicy shrimp tacos and the seared mahi mahi with rice and cucumber kimchi. Definitely stop by - the woman working in the truck was so sweet too!

We have been customers of Ono Fish and Shrimp in Kaunakakai for 5 yrs+. Our favorite menu go to is the fish tacos-they are outstanding. On this trip to Molokai, we decided to stop for a plate lunch at Fish and Shrimp. My wife suggested that she wanted to try the Seared Mahi-mahi. I was reluctant to change cause the fish tacos are outstanding (oh yeah, I mentioned that already). So, ok we ordered the mahi-mahi. I have to admit, it was incredible! It was cooked and seasoned to perfection. 2 nice sized pieces of fresh fish, a scoop of white rice and a green garden salad. I think that I found my new favorite menu item!

Last minute lunch for us... and it was sooo good! I had the grilled Mahi, and he had the butter garlic shrimp. Both had such good flavors - cooked to perfection and lovely seasoning. The side of rice was a great size, and I appreciated the salad option as I'm not a fan of mac cheese. It's definitely a food truck to check out!

I had the fried shrimp which were excellent! Not a huge portion- 5 medium sized shrimp but very delicious. Potato wedges were good too. Hubby thought his fish and chips were not as good. He said they were dry and did not finish it. The fish was a much larger portion than the shrimp. Would like to try their tacos.

Wew have been here twice so far and I want to go again! The shrimp tacos are so good! The garlic shrimp are large and the buttery garlic sauce to dip in is great! The fish & chips are amazing, and there's something special in that home made tartar sauce, but I don't know what! Slowest service on the island because they make your order one at a time; so please be patient and don't bother the cook to tell her how long you have been waiting. Be patient. We waited an hour the 1st time, 2nd time was only 10 minutes...come a bit after lunch. There is a covered tent area with picnic tables so sit & relax, enjoy the chickens!

We had lunch here one day. We all ordered the ono tacos and they were tasty if perhaps overcooked. The taco stand is part of the gas station next door, and you can get drinks and t-shirts there.

We had the fish and chips ($12) and the shrimp ($13). Really very tasty! The lady in the truck was very friendly and even brought us food outside because we were sitting on the benches in the shade behind the truck. We can recommend it!

Parking: At the gas station, so plenty of parking spaces.

Wheelchair accessibility: It's all on one level and you can eat there even with a wheelchair.

Best food on the island!!! Fish tacos are amazing! Friendly owner, MUST TRY.

What a delicious little gem of a place! My husband got the fish & chips and I got the shrimp taco plate. Yum! We took it to go since we wanted to eat it on our patio, though we could have sat in the large covered picnic table area behind the truck. The food had a flavorful kick of heat to it—my husband’s chips and the shrimp in my tacos—and these was plenty of food on each plate. I highly recommend this food truck, but be aware that it is only open for lunch during the week (and not on the weekend) so get there when it is open and you will be given a satisfying meal.
