1st time went in there ordered garlic fried chicken she asked if I want a white rice fried rice or mashed potato I heard the fried rice then after that I asked why is it $17 not 13 she says oh it's an extra for the fried rice passed it by then gave her money and would not give my change back Got home to eat it absolutely horrible lousy best foods Mac salad which is horrible local people can't stand at people and nothing but fat on the chicken never ever again

NOT GLUTEN FREE. Even though Google has Spoonful Cafe at the top of the list for eating gluten free in Kea'au, I was advised when I called to order they do not actually have anything on the menu that can be prepared gluten free. It's not the cafe's fault that Google has decided that they are the pinnacle of GF dining so I didn't want to hit them unfairly with a low rating. Their website asks diners to declare their allergies before ordering. That is probably so they can stop people from unintentionally glutening themselves because Google led them astray.
Verry good food , large enough portions to not leave me hungry. Staff is verry friendly. Highly recommend
