Not sure why this has any good ratings at all. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile. My friends did some work at my house so we treated them to dinner. We placed an order to go for 5 people.
Everyone agreed that ALL the food was bland and flavorless. Do they even use salt? NONE of it was spicy, not even the menu items that had a pepper picture next to it.
Green Curry with beef - this is the only thing I liked. It was just okay though. There are much better Thai restaurants close by. The eggplant was good. The beef was mushy like dog food. There was not enough curry inside for the price. My friend said this dish was terrible. Tasted like black pepper, no coconut flavor.
Minced Ginger Beef Fried Rice - Bland. No flavor at all. Was there even salt or ginger in there? I got no flavor of anything except rice.
Pad Thai was just average.
We had a few other dishes but I don't eat chicken so I didn't try them. The popular opinion at the table is that none of us would order from here again.
Not sure if they even do different spice levels? Because the lady taking orders didn't seem to care.

This place really saved us. We had just been to Kilauea and hadn’t eaten real food all day. Peppercorn is right off the route traveling from Volcano to north Kona, so no time off route! The food was hot and delicious. It came out super fast. Service was very attentive and kind. It was an excellent choice after a long day of hiking in the rain!

This is an amazing gem of a restaurant! The food is delicious, the servings are ample, and the staff are so friendly, whether dining in or getting it to go. I highly recommend the stir fried spaghetti with beef, it is my favorite comfort dish!

Ordered takeout- fried udon (beef) & wonton mein. Service on the phone was too rushed for my liking- if I'm correct, it was one of the owners that took my call and it may be a part of her culture, but she kept cutting me off when I was ordering and tried to hang up on me when I had more to order. My mom said the wonton mein was good, but I had the fried udon and it had no taste. My stomach has also been turning since after eating it, and making me feel unwell. Hopefully it's indigestion (never had it, so can't say for sure).

Mmmmm. Had the kung pao chicken and it's all I wanted for weeks after! I don't know how they get the chicken to be so soft with slight burnt edges but I love it and it smells and tastes amazing! Have had other meals here that were great but that one got me hooked and wanting more!!
