I live in Seattle and my good friend Daniel D sent me some of this magic from his home in Hawaii. I love coffee, and pretty much drink it all day. I've tried many 100% Kona beans over the years...... never met a bad one but Lehuula's Private Reserve takes the trophy of BEST COFFEE IVE EVER HAD!! It might be more expensive than local Seattle joints but it's worth every penny. I love it. Also, to Brian at Lehuula........ your friend and my friend (Mr Daniel D) have made me a customer for life.

Best coffee ever! I have been drinking it for many years, and every time I share it with somebody I never even offer them cream or sugar, which would be totally superfluous, and they all have drunk it down with great enjoyment, calling it the best coffee in the world. I have to agree. Bob and Mae and Brian and Amy are the best. You can definitely taste the love in their coffee.

Great farm. Not a coffee shop though. They often offer samples with a tour. Call ahead. This small farm has wonderful character. Super nice people.

This small coffee farm on the shoulders of Hualalai makes delicious full-bodied coffee.

Lehuula Farm has taken the art of Kona coffee bean production to its pinnacle. A true love of labour. Kudos to farmer and scientists Bob Nelson

Best coffee! A group of our friends did blind-folded taste tests and picked Lehuula Farms every time.

My fiance and I had the pleasure of spending nearly two hours here on the farm, learning about coffee, talking about coffee, and drinking coffee. Bob is a great tour guide and an all around interesting dude. He's jerry- rigged or outright invented most of the farm's equipment and has helped develop a unique pruning style. Kona is filthy with great coffee and, no doubt, you will get a good cup at any of the glorified coffee gift shops populated by tour buses that your hotel's concierge recommends for their free tours and tasting. But, if you are serious about your beans, give these guys a call (and definitely call ahead because they don't do tours every hour on the hour, but by request). If you haven't heard of their coffee, it's because they sell only on their website (though they'll bag up a pound of the freshest roast on site if you request).

Totally agree with Nathan T. Had a cup of yesterday's roasted coffee on the porch with Bob. He imparted lots of great coffee knowledge on me and has great Alaska stories as well. Only house in Hawaii I have ever seen with a polar bear hide and whale baleen.

I heard of Lehuula Farms after they were a 2010 Gevalia Kona Cupping Competition Finalist. I placed an online order and was very happy with their coffee. I sought them out on our recent visit to the Kona area. I was totally blown away by the experience. I was looking for a good tour and some good coffee without the tour bus crowd. I dropped in unannounced and Bob and Brian hooked me up with a full blown Kona coffee farm education. Bob led my wife and I on a full tour of the facility and provided so much info that I was sure a graduation certificate would follow, after a brief test of course. Bob has put love and care into his farm and the craft for over 20 years. Stop by and visit the farm and ask for a tour. No crowds and excellent coffee. Best part is that the price is very reasonable compared to the big places nearby with the "standard" tour. Mahalos
