i live hours from Kayas, but I still make the drive down because it’s that good! The vegan pastries are insanely good and i love the clean ingredients. The lazy samoas are the best baked good i’ve had. so many amazing food and drink options to choose from and wonderful energy in the cafe. recommend!!!!

Funky little spot offering a full case of vegan and GF baked goods, coffees, and Sundog bakery breads for sandwiches. There is a play area for kids and shopping with local handmade items. East-facing outdoor tables are available for morning coffee or a berry smoothie. The Pete Special sandwich and quiches are popular choices. Friendly staff, great service, and delicious food. The coffee was great and food was fresh, with many vegan and vegetarian options. The pastries are really good, including delicious brownies and ginger molasses cookies. Best espresso in Hawaii, not sour, perfectly rich and smooth. The kombucha on tap is amazing. Delicious lattes with high-quality ingredients. The shop is full of locally-sourced items like honey, tinctures, and accessories. A convenient breakfast stop on the way to Volcanoes from Kona, also a convenient location on the way to the hospital.
