“Been ordering from Emmery for years for Starvation Farms. Great guy and Maggie is awesome too. Prices you can't beat. The man is such a wealth of information and just easy to talk to. Ordering by phone is something you don't find as much of any more. Trust. Place an order and you'll see what I mean. Love this place and the people.“
“I live in Seattle and my good friend Daniel D sent me some of this magic from his home in Hawaii. I love coffee, and pretty much drink it all day. I've tried many 100% Kona beans over the years...... never met a bad one but Lehuula's Private Reserve takes the trophy of BEST COFFEE IVE EVER HAD!! It might be more expensive than local Seattle joints but it's worth every penny. I love it. Also, to Brian at Lehuula........ your friend and my friend (Mr Daniel D) have made me a customer for life.“
“A phenomenal find on the big island! Everything we tried here was delicious. Tons of gluten free (gf) options and some vegan ones as well. If you ask they will make you a grilled cheese on their homemade gf focaccia bread, which is so good!!If you come mid morning they’ll likely have banana bread, which was incredible warmed up. Loved their smoothies, you could make your own combo and we particularly enjoyed an OJ base with dragon fruit, mango, & strawberries. They open at 5:30 so we were able to stop here on the way to the airport, which was a treat.Everyone working here was delightful and kind, even when the line was out the door and they were swamped with orders. The baked goods felt really reasonably priced, particularly for being gf and in Hawaii (as of 2024 there were gf baked goods for under $4 a piece!).Such a gem, would return anytime & highly recommend!! They have indoor and outdoor seating, some toys and books for kids, and a fun selection of locally made items & art.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free & vegan options! The majority of their baked goods were gluten free, and their homemade gf focaccia bread was unbelievably good“
“How blessed to live on the Big Island of Hawai'i and be able to enjoy the best cup of coffee EVER! I've never sat down with a cup of coffee and not wanted it to end, but that was my experience with Kona Joe last week. The coffee was delicious and the view SPECTACULAR. It's not really hidden, but easy to drive by not knowing it's there. Their signage is actually good, but I confess to driving past it for several years thinking it was just another coffee field. TRUST ME......IT'S NOT. Beautiful grounds and a self-guided or scheduled tour are options as well as an awesome gift shop. Coming into Kailua-Kona from the south will definitely always involve a stop for a delicious cup of coffee and a gorgeous (and relaxing) view of the fields and bay below. Aloha!“
“We stopped along this road to check out an antique store and stopped in to get some coffee. The woman was so friendly and welcoming. She made some of the best coffee we had on our trip and let us try the rum cake for free. We ended up making some other purchases and took some rum cake home. Really cute place. I would recommend stopping if you're in the area!“
“God bless this Mc Donald's. We arrived with 2 hungry small children. They just closed. Mom and dad is freaking out because children will go bananas. Dad knocks on the door waving for someone to help. A worker came and confirmed our worse nightmare, they just closed. She must have seen the fear in our eyes and with some ohana spirit took our order. A happy ending and huge mahalos from our children. There are still good people in this world.“
“We stopped in when we were on vacation just to try different things, and the lady in charge was very helpful letting me try different types and flavors of coffee. My wife really loved the frappe she made her and I was impressed enough to buy 2lbs of decaf Kona for my parents and a pound of pea berry for me. I had everything shipped home which they made very easy. The people are very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Next time we’re in Kona we will be there.“
“What a wonderful experience! First getting greeted by the farm dogs then taking in the breathtaking views. We got there just at the end of the flowering season for the coffee plants, but still managed to see a few that were left. The coffee here is amazing! The staff are the true gems as well. So helpful and considerate! Thank you for the tour.“
“Not only were these some of the nicest people we interacted with in all of Hawaii, but the food was excellent.Coffee: Ube Sweet Cream Cold Brew is light on the sweet, good for someone who doesn’t want dessert coffee. But the Ube White Mocha Cold Brew is the shining star for me.Food: The bagels here are really hearty, but if you want something a little sweeter, the Chia Pudding cup was fantastic.Other: Some of the coolest tshirt designs I’ve seen at any store.“
