Our first encounter with Kona coffee is here at UCC Coffee. This is actually my 5th visit.We've had roasting experiences twice in the past, but this experience was fun and allowed us to roast to our liking, and what's more, we got to have our own photos on the labels.Highly recommended!I only purchased coffee this time, but thank you for your detailed explanation.
UCC Coffee Estate Farm is along the slopes of Hulualoa. It's charming plantation style house with large picture windows and ample decks give an unobsturcted eagles eye view of Kailua Kona. They have free tasting of their Kona Estate coffee and other Kona coffee's from local farms. My personal favorite is the Whiskey Barrel Aged coffee. I rented a car and went as soon as it opened. There were 3 staff members and only one was Japanese, but all of them, including the non-Japanese staff, could speak Japanese, so communication was not a problem.I was able to sample 3 types of coffee and purchase my favorite coffee.
