Randy's Huli Chicken and Ribs

Stopped by on Friday and picked up two combo plates, $22 each. Some of the best chicken I've ever had! also bought some cornbread and it was divine.We will definitely be going back.

Pork Ribs. Brisket. Wow. I wish we had come here at the start of our trip on Big Island. So good. And this is coming from consuming great Texas BBQ regularly. Advice: come early cuz it sells out fast, especially them tasty ribs!!!

Reason for 1 star is you were close on Thursday Friday November 28 & 29 while your website said open. Lucky I called or I would have drove 20min and 20min back for nothing
I can see you don’t care about your business because you would be more to the point on website on hours and closures on stat holidays

Randy's is only open every Thursday & Friday. We we're in Kona for only 3 days, so we we're lucky enough to try this on a Thursday, our last day.

When I googled local foods, Randy's caught my attention first, I hate to say i was disappointed to finally try it. It doesn't taste like how it looks, altho the bbq pit smoke smells really good. The ribs we're not fall off the bone, the chicken is dry and lacked flavor, and the brisket was like rubber.

I recommend to try once so you can compare with other food trucks. Giving 3 stars since the ladies who served us we're really nice, attentive and fast!

Amazingly juicy chicken! Would definitely come back to enjoy some local food. There are some shaded picnic tables on site, but I recommend grabbing the container and eating it by a beach/ park nearby.

This was hands down the best thing we ate in 10 days on the Big Island! I love it when people build their own barbecue rig and get the whole family involved in their side hustle. . .

We shared two combo plates between our three big eaters, and no one was hungry at the end of the meal! I agree with some other reviewers that the standard corn and rice sides aren't stellar, but they're not bad--the meat is the real star here (it's smokey, slightly sweet, tender and juicy)! We also had several scummy baked items and a scoop of tasty mac salad.

I highly recommend making a stop if you're in town on the days they're open, and build in some time to chat with folks behind the counter. They'll give you a glimpse of local culture and are happy to share additional recommendations for your Island adventures!

Fantastic bbq stand. Friendly folks, good prices, great product. Try the machine and cheese, it has chicken in it and they use real cheese!
