The garlic shrimp and fish combo is where it’s at. I always order all fried rice instead of the normal sides it comes with. It makes the perfect meal if you’re going to the beach. Substituting out the sides for all fried rice is a little bit more of an extra cost but it’s worth it. That’s my go-to order at Bale, never disappoints.
I've been to many Vietnamese restaurants over the years so I have a lot to compare to. I ordered the pork noodle plate (vermicelli) and it was a pretty chintzy portion of meat and almost no vegetables to speak of. They also charge extra if you want an extra bowl....
If you're in Kihei and you have a Pho craving, this place might be for you! The Pho was good, but if you're coming from, say Canada, expect to pay a good 75% more than you would at home.
