I went here twice. Got their vegan burrito as a bowl. They added pineapple teriyaki tofu. It was on a bed of lettuce with beans, rice and guacamole. It was a large serving on good. Love their black beans.

Delicious, we get dinner here all the time! Delicious, big portions. The only complaint I have is the food is consistently warm at best. Sometimes nearly room temperature. It may be because we typically order about a half hour before close. Otherwise, love this place

Holy Moses, smell the roses! By far, the BEST fish tacos on Maui! A truly authentic Mexican-Islander delight! Fresh blackened mahi mahi gently drizzled with a loving concoction of sweet, spicy sauce, finely shredded cabbage,on a small, flavourful light cilantro rice bed inside a homemade corn tortilla. Yum!! Not to be missed. The gracious proprietor made us feel like we were in his home. Mahalo! We will be back often!!

This was the last place I ate before I flew back home. I had a late flight, so I was planning on eating slowly and wasting some time. Unfortunately, the service was incredible and the food was amazing, so they brought the food out quickly and I couldn't get myself to eat slowly, and only wasted about 30 minutes.
Anything with fish is going to be good. The owner obviously takes pride in making every customers experience a good one. I highly recommend eating here.
Also, the prices are cheap, like mainland cheap.

Hidden Gem Alert! The service was awesome fast! The food is amazing and very affordable compared to the other fish taco/mexican places nearby. I ordered the mahi nachos and they were to die for. Mahi was cooked perfectly and the toppings mixed really well for some amazing nachos. Come support a local ʻohana and eat some dang good food.

As a former resident, who believes he's eaten here before, I hate to say that our dishes were rather bland (as I think another reviewer noted).
I could not taste the cilantro in the rice and everything could have been GREALTY improved with a couple dashes of salt.
Not a chef, nor a hater, it just really had no taste. A dash of spice......cilantro, splash of acid (lime/lemon), salt, pepper, etc., could have made this really pop. I seriously stopped at Safeway to get a salt shaker to keep in the car after this.
The chips were made on the spot in the deep fryer and pretty good, but again, just a hint of salt would have been nice.
If the owner reads this, maybe even offer a "Jawz" option, adding more salt, pepper, lime, cilantro...something, just to bring out the flavors.
Nice people and good customer service, food just needs a little work.
First off, the owner has the heart and passion to please his guests. My wife and I ordered a chx taco plate and intended to share it. The owner split it onto two plates without us saying a word. This degree of service is not often seen unless one requests it. Food was good but not five star good. The prices were not five star-high either. Picnic tables in court yard were only worth 3 stars but I would have rated the other restaurants near by the same for the same reason. I enjoy giving my business to Sampson, especially when he is next to a few Goliaths.

Best food of our trip so far! I loved all the salsas especially the green. My husband got the chicken taco salad and I got the steak tacos island style with cilantro rice. Delicious!
