This is by far the best sushi hands down on maui. The service is impeccable. The sushi I'd just beautiful art no fancy rolls here just pure taste of fish and it was an honor to dine here and will definitely be back.

The most authentic sushi on the island and better than almost all of the 100+ places I've been to worldwide. Get the omakase and you will not be disappointed. Hiro-san has a wide variety of high quality fish that he presents very artistically. Call the first day of the month for reservations that month. If you don't, you'll probably miss out. Oishi! Highly recommended.

The sushi is amazing. It's a lovely small quiet spot in Kihei. The tsunomono is lovely & the toro is beautiful. The omakase is too good to be true too. You need reservations a month in advance. The staff is just adorable too.

I'm thrilled to wait my turn as it's a gift to watch the this master at his work and then to enjoy his artistry at this wonderful diamond of a restaurant in a small local retail center. Best sushi on the island! Eating at the bar is always a major highlight of our Maui holiday when we are lucky enough to visit. Charming experience! Learn the ropes, make a reservation, wait for the date and enjoy! Cheers, Sensei! Thank you, yet again!

!!!!!BOOK A MONTH IN ADVANCE!!!!!We were hoping to get even take out as we heard so much about this place. We love locals telling us the secret places, and this place is no secret, but we never got to eat their food :(. I'm giving it a 5 star because I believe the number of people, but no one tells you to do it so far in advance! Called to get takeout a week out, and they said their takeout was pushed out two weeks, and their dine-in was a month! (Yes, they say they have like only 8 tables, but still! Man. I'm a planner, so I wish I had seen this sooner, so I hope this helps someone else who is a foodie)

The fish was amazing super fresh and the chef cooks with such a delicacy. The service is very personal and every penny you spend there is worthy. I recommend the clam soup just to start!

Always amazing but tough reservation. Omakase plate and sunomono are my go to orders and if I'm feeling hungry, I'll order a few extra pieces of nigiri or the 69 roll. I love the kanpachi, hamachi belly in particularly.

This is a small place so make a reservation, I called about a week before I flew to Maui and they said they would put me on their waiting list, I got lucky as someone apparently cancelled, I got a call when I was on Maui and glad they called. I think the fish was really fresh and prepared in an excellent manner.

We lucked out that we called at the start of our stay and they had a cancelation later that week. But they turned away multiple walkins while we were there. We got the chefs special nigiri x2 at $55 each and one traditional roll ($20). In this preparation clearly the raw fish is the star. Limited sauces or garnish. Just rice and fish. Very similar to a Tokyo sushi counter. ( though here they serve all at once while our experience in Japan was they made and handed over each serving as part of the dinner.). Well done fish. We had the expected Japanese beers.
