That mai tai with the lilikoi foam was possibly the best mai tai I’ve ever had in my life. We got the Maui beef burger, fish tacos, and the garlic truffle fries. 10/10 would return again, we see why it’s such a popular local spot.

We visited a second time during our trip because we enjoyed it so much. The live music is perfect—not too loud like some places. The food is always good. Make a reservation if you don’t like to wait.

Dj made a great recommendation with this Jawaiian chicken. It is on point. I wish I could eat more of it. If you're lucky enough to get Dj as a server you will have an incredible night.

We had an amazing dinner at Monkeypod Kitchen and it truly exceeded our expectations.
We started with their famous Mai Tais, and wow — easily some of the best we’ve ever had. Perfectly balanced, smooth, and dangerously good!
For appetizers, we ordered the grilled shrimp, and they were absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.
For the main course, we had the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi, and it was outstanding. The fish was perfectly cooked, tender, and flaky, with a beautifully crisp macadamia crust that added the perfect texture and flavor. Every bite was incredible.
The food, drinks, and overall experience made it a memorable night. Highly recommend if you’re in Wailea!

Fish and chips were just ok. The mahi was a little chewy. SMALL portions. The gnocchi was delicious, again very small portions, but what good is it when you come back to your condo hungry and have to have peanut butter and jelly sandwich! Service was great. Good wine but cheapest glass $17.

Think we ended up coming here maybe 4 or 5 times during our trip and every time the service and food and drinks were remarkable.

I had the opposite experience of nearly every positive review, so I feel inclined to share ours.
We had reservations for months and I was genuinely excited to eat here. When we arrived, our table wasn’t ready and we waited about 20 minutes before being seated outside, directly along the exterior of the building. Easily the worst table location in the entire restaurant. There was something sticky on my chair, and the music was so loud we couldn’t hear our server or even have a conversation at the table. We were all laughing because the server couldn’t hear us either. She said she turned the music down, but it was still uncomfortably loud.
When the food arrived, we were shocked. The glowing reviews about the food honestly feel fake. My wife ordered the jerk chicken, and it quite literally was not jerk chicken. Zero spice. My child, who is very spice-averse, ate it without issue.
My sandwich came à la carte, which is fine, but for the price it felt obnoxious. I ordered the jalapeño mashed potatoes as a side, expecting at least some flavor. They were the driest mashed potatoes I’ve ever had in my life. Green, completely flavorless, and not even a hint of spice. These were $9, which is honestly embarrassing. They should be ashamed of themselves for charging that much for something so bad.
My daughter ordered the macaroni from the kids menu. It was literally plain boiled macaroni noodles with a few tablespoons of marinara on the side.
My son ordered the kids cheeseburger, which actually looked fine and was probably the best-looking meal at the table.
I foolishly ordered dessert, which was also a disappointment. We got the coconut cream pie and it was just fair. I asked the server for ice cream for the kids, and she went on about how we could order as many scoops as we wanted, listing flavors and saying “two or seven, it doesn’t matter.” I simply asked for one scoop of chocolate and one scoop of vanilla. She then brought out a small bowl piled with four massive scoops of ice cream. I don’t even know how a child could eat it without making a huge mess.
We finally asked for the check and left. The entire experience took far too long and stretched into about an hour and a half. Needless to say, we won’t be going back or recommending this place. Also what the heck with a 4% fee.. check out my receipt and my dinner for yourself.
