Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman - Wailea, Maui

Had dinner there yesterday and we were seated at 5:04. Unable to get the Happy Hour special as it ends at 5. Your order has to be in computer before 5!! Wish I would have known that as I would have made reservations for an earlier time. Food was good but skimpy. Had the fish tacos which were on the smaller side but they were tasty. Comes with zero sides. Husband had the fish and chips. Was good. Decent portion. . Wish my server had given more details when I asked about the specials. She said mahi mahi but failed to mention the sides that came along with it as I would have ordered that!!! I should have asked but didn't think to. Monkeypod is good value if you get there before 5!!! Otherwise just ok for what you pay for.

I went during happy hour so prices were great! I ordered the Ham and pineapple pizza. Even with the great happy hour pricing I was really disappointed in value. It was so soggy from the pesto and the ham was very very fatty. I had two pieces and left the rest. The chicken wings how ever were very good. I was just going to get the pizza so I'm really happy I ordered both. Service was great!

Everything was as good as our last time in Maui. Mai Tai was excellent. Husband had the macadamia nut crusted fish which he said was excellent. I had a pizza which was very good as well. This is always on our list when visiting Maui.

Food was good. The noise level definitely detracts from the ambiance. Table was right by the kitchen so not only was the noise a bit much but staff traffic was a bit annoying

We come often and today was an exceptional food time. Perfect service and awesome food! Mahalo for a wonderful lunch!

We made reservations three months in advance. I had told my girlfriend all about the pumpkin ravioli. It's her favorite. They took it off the menu!! It's a staple. Even other guests we met at the hotel told her about it. So disappointing. But the worst part was they sat us at a table right next to the kitchen, bathroom and the bar where they pick up drinks. I got hit several times with the busser trays and elbows. People were walking back and forth to the bathroom. It was the worst table in the entire restaurant. Our server Steve was great. He brought us the Taro ravioli to try. It was good but definitely no pumpkin ravioli. The Mai Tai wasn't what I remember it to be. My girlfriend ended up getting a basic margarita pizza which was just ok and I got three tacos that were small for $28 dollars. Also only one lime for three tacos. It made me so sad. I've taken my family here for years and spent thousands of dollars. I was introducing my girlfriend to the place and it was a major disappointment. We decided to cancel our reservations to Merrymen because of this experience. Sadly we won't be back.

My husband got the fish and chips and we were served dinner rather quickly. Mine (deviled eggs) and his was clearly pre-made and his chips were like the dregs of the fries...small tidbits and maybe warm at best. We were disappointed.

Amazing food and cocktails! When we are near, we always make plans to come have dinner. Pork Ramen and fish are our favorites!

The food was exceptional and the service was beyond great! One of our very favorites to eat at!

Every year this place gets better! The food delicious and service excellent too! This year we saved room for coconut pie and it was amazing!

Hands down the best restaurant in Maui! 🍴 Their pizza, bulgogi tacos, fish & chips, coconut cream pie—and of course, the famous Mai Tai—are all must-tries. Everything was so good! 😋✨

Great experience! Enjoyed the food and our sever Asia was great! She was very helpful and even gave us recommendations on beaches to visit and snorkeling spots!

Fun atmosphere. Excellent service and food was very good. They aren't joking about the famous Mai Tai — best I've ever had!
