Went to see Brenton Keith the magician and it was a lot of fun. It is a family friendly show that gets all the kids involved.
Wonderful, entertaining evening at Mulligan's with magician Brenton Keith & His Bag O’ Tricks! He performs every Thursday and his family friendly show is a MUST see!! Dinner at Mulligan’s is alway fabulous!
Great people and service. Great music on Sunday evenings with such a view!
One of my favorite places to go on Maui! The staff is the best you'll find, and have always been attentive and nice. The food is pretty good, reasonable prices, especially on Maui. The views are phenomenal, especially for sunset. Great place all around!
Good beers and food, with great sunset views and evening live bands. There's a dance floor to boogie down with the music. Tickets must be purchased when there's a band here.
Great restaurant
Jake, the bartender is one of the best ... the corned beef and cabbage is amazing. I'll be back
4.2 stars on this place is laughable. It’s a gem of an establishment. Family owned/operated. Beers you can’t get anywhere else on island (like Harp) and the food is delightful. For example the mahi fish and chips are made in a Harp beer batter. Would love to see more locals here. Live music too. Prices are very reasonable. Class Irish fare and also solid American bar food, elevated.
We had a day at the beach in Makena with our lovely hyperactive, attention loving, golden doodle. We were starving and there were only a few options available that allowed dogs. Our normal place would be MBC, however, we wanted to change our routine.
We realized Mulligan's allowed pets, and was very nearby so we gave it a shot!
It was around 4pm and in the middle of happy hour when we arrived. The restaurant was empty, other than a could of patrons at the bar. This meant we got greeted and seated right away. We had Richard Y as our server. He was very friendly and accommodating. We sat outside first, but it started to lightly rain, so we moved under for some shelter.
The food quality was very good. We started with a Caesar salad and Cajun fish tacos from the happy hour menu to start. My son had chicken nuggets and fries.
For our main meals, I had the short ribs while my wife had the corned beef and cabbage. Both were very delicious and actually very good sized for the serving.
Everything was delicious, price was reasonable, and everything came out in a timely manner. I think we found our new after-beach spot down in Makena.
What a fantastic performance Brenton put on with Mulligan's Magic Show! I had heard about this show from another family we met while horseback riding one day on our trip to Maui and we literally altered our Road to Hana day to be back in time for this show... and we were SO GLAD we did! It was the perfect evening and a nice break away from just seeing the beauty of nature. Brenton was funny, engaging, family friendly, and full of energy but he was also SO talented with his magic! I have a 21 and 18 year old and they were so impressed, laughing most of the night. We caught a couple of his tricks on video and posted them and our Facebook friends were in awe too! This show is WELL worth your time and money, and Mulligans offered fantastic dinner options too. Go see the show if you get the chance - you won't regret it! It's truly... well, "magical". :)
If you want a sports bar to watch NFL Sunday football this is the place. They have multiple big-screen TVs and had three separate football games on, so whatever team you like chances are they’ll be on one of the TVs. Oh, and as an added bonus, this most definitely is a local’s hangout which added to the great atmosphere.
We sat at the bar to watch the games and the lone bartender was severely over worked. This dude was literally sweating trying to keep up with the patrons’ demand for drinks and eats and he did a great job, that’s why I rate the service as a five.
Okay, on to the food. I had a pot pie that was served piping hot and chock full of tender chunks of beef. The crust was crisp and flaky too. The only critique is that there were very few veggies, it was pretty dried out and too salty. But hey it had a ton of meat folks so I can’t really complain. My wife had the fish and chips. The fish and fries were both hot and crunchy so no problem there, although we’ve had better tasting fish.
In the end, we probably would not go back here to eat, BUT as a sports bar is not all about the food and since we only tried two of the items on the menu, that’s why I give the food a four star rating.
Kid-friendliness: Not so much. This is a sports bar.

This is my second time at Mulligan's. This time I stopped by for happy hour. And believe me...happy hour did not disappoint. I really like the happy hour menu. The bar maid that was there today for happy hour was absolutely amazing, friendly is can be, busy as could be but still was very personable. I have to say I enjoyed my time at Mulligan's.

I usually stop here on Thursdays... Staff is good, the establishment is very nice and the views are beautiful... Food is on point, and there is a magic show on Thursdays (I did not come for the show), and the crowd seems super pleased with the show... Great neighborhood bar/restaurant...

Directly before a Saturday night showing from a band, with all tables sold, the host quickly and kindly sat our family and provided excellent service during what was certainly a stressful time. The food was excellent and the views unbeatable.
Parking: Ample, free parking with a few steps from the lot to the restaurant.
