Absolutely exceptional food! Everything is very fresh and they are very creative with the way that they make things.
We ate at the bar and Ronson helped us. He was super friendly and attentive. Best poke and Nigeri .... period. Highly recommend.
Fantastic meal! The quality of the fish was incredible. Ronson was an excellent server! A fantastic end to our Maui vacation.
The only place to go on Maui for Sushi!! The staff is 100%+. Ronson, Justin, Caleb, Ian and Duane plus the chefs. It is one of our favorite go-to places .. and lucky us, we get to enjoy it all year as we live here.
Great food! Amazing steak 🥩 loved everything!

Got to sit at the sushi counter and talk to the owner - delicious food! I'm a huge fan of him and the restaurant
Food was great and that service was great, but the sushi chef who helped us was very rude and sarcastic.
We dine at Oao a few times per month and it's always excellent. The menu has something for everyone, our 2 non-seafood eating keiki say it's their favorite restaurant on island. Iggy is on point every time with service. This crew has separated themselves from all of the other sushi options on Maui. It's not close.
The place is super casual but the quality is top notch. They fly fish in from the famous Japanese fish market which is great. The salmon hybrid nigiri is a must try! The crunchy rice was really good too. I will definitely be back!
Always an incredible experience! The hamachi carpaccio keeps me coming back - this is our favorite spot in Wailea for amazing sushi.

Very good sushi just a little crammed inside and high prices but great food and awesome customer service
This was definitely of the best sushi restaurants we've ever been to. The Otoro Nigiri was amazing.
Good food, but incredibly overpriced. A specialty roll was $38. Outrageous pricing means value is low, despite the fact that food was generally good (not excellent). Don't come here unless you are born into wealth (those who have attained wealth through hard work and tough choices will realize this is not the place to go for value).
This is one of the best sushi experiences I have had in a long time and tend to eat a lot of sushi...i recommend signature rolls which are unique; also miso butter fish was great ...two cocktails we got were also spot on; only mild complaint is the cadence of dishes arriving at our table was too fast (electronic ordering by waiter works !)
Awsome, awesome, awesome place! The hostess at the front door thanked us for coming and seated us right away. Smallish place but decorated very well. Our server had water at our table immediately and was very attentive. We ordered the steak bites, which may seem odd when dining at a sushi restaurant but wow, were they awesome! Kind of set the tone for the rest of the meal. We had some regular rolls to start, spicy tuna and California roll for instance, but then we had the Hamachi Jalapeño and the Red Dragon Maki specialty rolls which were superb. The first roll came out really fast, they had three sushi chefs working instead of just one or two. They timed the service extremely well and brought out different plates as we finished the previous one, which I like. The only knocks on the restaurant is that it was pretty noisy and it is expensive. But, it is Maui and you expect a good sushi restaurant to be expensive. Definitely going back and I would highly recommend the restaurant.
