Service was fantastic. Very quick and attentive service. Highly recommended
We are visiting and ate here for the first time. They were able to get us a table, even though we didn't have reservations. The Mai Tai's were fantastic, and the food and dessert even better!
Our server Annie at the Wailea Monkeypod was very helpful in our food allergies and recommended some great items. The place was super busy but the food came quickly and every staff person was friendly and helpful. Not a place to miss if visiting Maui. There is something for everyone here and it’s all delicious!

Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman in Wailea, Maui offers a fantastic dining experience. The macadamia nut crusted fresh fish and pizzas are must-try dishes, and their Mai Tai is a special event. The service is excellent, with friendly staff and patient servers. While portions may be small, the unique and delicious flavors make it a place where customers might not need a to-go box. Vegetarian options are available but limited. Reservations are recommended.
Customers praise the solid food, with the Kalua pork and pineapple pizza being a favorite. The restaurant is a nice 15-minute walk from the nearby resort. Diners have enjoyed the Pokémon Tacos, Garlic Trufle fries, Margherita pizza, and mixed green salad, though they note that prices are higher in Maui. The restaurant has accommodated customers without reservations and has been patient with fussy kids. Diners have also enjoyed the Saimin bowl, which features noodles, pork, and cilantro in a chicken broth.
Recent reviews highlight a mix of experiences. During happy hour, some found the prices great, but one was disappointed in the value of the Ham and pineapple pizza, citing it was soggy from pesto and fatty ham. However, the chicken wings were praised as very good. Service was noted as great. Visitors have also enjoyed the Mai Tai and the macadamia nut crusted fish, calling both excellent. The pizza remains a popular choice, and the restaurant continues to be a favorite when visiting Maui. Some mention that noise levels can detract from the ambiance, especially when seated near the kitchen where staff traffic and noise are more noticeable.
